"I Love" Sunday's v.73

Happy Sunday Dear Dreamers!
I hope this post finds you well! I just realized that I haven't done one of these in a while. -.-'

** Monday was the 4th of July, and I was still at my parents house. You can read all about that mini trip here. It was fun, and now I just need to finish adding it to my scrap-journal.

** Unfortunately Lee ended up with another 24 hour duty on Wednesday when we went back to work. His unit wasn't supposed to have it anymore but because the two people that were scheduled to have duty went on leave that day (someone didn't plan properly there), he ended up having it. So I spent the day watching Scandal on Netflix.

** Lee and I finally saw Finding Dory on Thursday and it was AWESOME!!!! We loved every part of that movie. CUDDLE PARTY!!!!!!

** On Friday, after Lee got out of work early, we went to turn in my old school books and pick up my new one, but we got there right as they were closing. Oh well, I'll have to go pick it up tomorrow after my class. -.-' Also got my new parking pass (I'm a little annoyed that I have to pay for a new one EVERY TIME I start a new term.... like wtf?!?

** Lee and I went to see the band Friday night after getting my tire changed. It was a good weekend full of practicing new music and playing PokémonGo! It's so funny, we'll go to restaurant and sit around playing that game. Chey and I went on a hunt for a Bulbasaur and instead we both got a Ponyta! It was most amusing!!!

** I've been working hard on my business and implementing some new things to protect my business as well as just make things easier. One of my best friend's mom's has contacted me to help build her a new website. I've never built a self-hosted website before (I use Squarespace and Blogger and Wordpress) so it's a learning experience, but I hope that I can give her what she wants. Tomorrow I will share a post more focused on the business stuff.

** Today Chey and I are going to Best Buy, hopefully for her to upgrade her phone to a new one and for a new iMac for me (hopefully!!!!) I want it for business stuff and to be able to leave my laptop for personal fun stuff.

All in all, while the beginning of the week was action packed with out mini trip, the rest of the week was really relaxed in comparison. I spent a lot of time just sitting around working on my laptop.

"I Love" Sundays v.72

Hello Dreamers!
Hope this post finds you well on this Sunday evening
((well... it's Sunday Evening for me))

** I had a doctors appointment with the VA on Tuesday and while she confirmed that I've had two mild concussions in my life, she confirmed that there was no lasting damage that we needed to be worried about. This is a huge relief because I don't think I could handle there being anything else wrong with my head at this point. Haha.

** If you read my post about our last show, we found out that Roger has a ligament sprain. The good news is that he didn't break or fracture anything in his ankle, the bad news is that it actually takes longer to heal then a break or fracture. Either way, they have him a top-of-the-line ankle brace that means he is actually able to walk on it, where as he wasn't able to before this appointment. Thank god!

** I also said that Sarah and I have started our own Virtual Assistance Business, and a of Thursday, we have three separate job proposals, which is amazing because this is only our first week.

** Lee has been gone all week on a training mission to Nevada, and while this isn't the first time we've been apart for a week (we've actually been apart longer), it's the first time that it's been in different time zones and it's the first time since Germany that my depression has kicked in that bad. I don't know if it was because he was gone or just because it was coming anyway (I've felt a little off for a few weeks before he left).... it was just weird timing.... but the point is.... he's on his way home as I type this. He should actually be landing within the next half hour. While he was gone he was able to text me when he could and he would also FaceTime me at night ((let it be known that it was midnight every time that he called or FaceTime'd me)) We're both thrilled that he's going to be home tonight. Yay cuddles!!!

** Friday night I was feeling restless and Roger invited me to come stay with them, so I drove over to see them. It was a much needed distraction from my depression. We went yesterday to find some lights for the merch table for the show this Saturday.

** I literally worked 3 days this week at Starbucks, to include today. It was nice having so many afternoon's off... just would've been better if Lee were here to spend them with. It figures that it would happen the week that he is gone. Oh well, I liked having the time off since I can't have the amount of hours that I would like.

First Week of College

Hello Dreamers!

So, technically this isn't my first week of college. I've been taking college classes online since 2012 while I was deployed to Afghanistan. I ended up with 24 transferable credits  when I applied to Fayetteville State University. ((it's confusing because they go by FSU.... but that makes me think of Florida State Univ.....)). I am working on my Bachelors of Science in Business Administration focusing on Marketing. This means I am technically a sophomore or something like that, thankfully not a freshman.

Classes started Wednesday morning since it's the first day of June. I am taking two 4 week classes, Critical Thinking and College Algebra. I have class 8-10 every morning for Critical Thinking and then my Math class is broken up into two parts. From 1230-215 pm I have a Algebra Lab, which is basically where we work on our homework and the teacher is there to answer questions if we have any. This part if optional, but I figured that it was in my best interest to attend this because I suck at math. The second part is 230-430 pm, which is the actual lecture, which is where he goes over the course material.

My CT teacher is an interesting man. He's from Ghana so he has a heavy accent, and he makes a lot of lame jokes. He compensates for his accent and possible language barrier by writing a lot of stuff on the board to sharing a power point presentation. There is a lot of laughter in the class, so that is helpful, and I actually really enjoy the class so far. This class is mandatory for my degree, but I am glad that it's my first class. It's pretty easy so far, just a lot of notes and discussions in class. We've had one test, and that was online since we're summer term.

My Algebra teacher is alright. The only time he talks is if you ask him a question. He isn't as personable. He is also kind of hard to understand due to an Asian accent. During the lecture he talks way to fast and is kind of all over the place. It doesn't help that I already don't like Math and will only be taking only the necessary classes. I think I'll do okay, but I am ready for this class to be over already.

The campus is a little confusing, but this may be just because this is my first time on a college campus. Although it isn't a huge school, my classes are spread out (to include both parts of my math class) and the buildings are numbered a little weird. Thankfully someone gave me a map that has the corresponding building number as well as the name, which makes it a little easier. It's kind of weird to be a college student full time, but it isn't that bad.

I am really glad that I started with summer classes, which means smaller classes, which is easier to ease into the college life. My anxiety has been up this week, but I think it's better then if I had started in the Spring or Fall, with larger classes. Large groups of people increase my anxiety, add that to people that I don't know... and it's not a party. So what I guess I am saying, is that this first week has gone pretty well.

Do you have any memories of your first time in college (if you've graduated) or are you going through college like me?

May Goals

Hello dearest Dreamers!
Hope this post finds you well!

Welp, it's that time again my dearest friends! It's the start of another month (where the heck has the time gone? This year feels like it is flying by?!?!?) which means it's time to share my goals for this month.

** Finish room: Things have progressed nicely in my bedroom, but there is still some stuff that needs to be done. Like hanging posters, finding a second dresser, and putting away some stuff that I have no idea what to do with.

** Finish Craft Room: This one is kind of driving me nuts, but we do what we can in spurts. Amy works on the weekend's and my schedule is all over the place. We decided to make our own desks because the front wall has some odd measurements, but this is taking longer then I was hoping for. I just really want to be able to use the craft room for it's intended purpose.

** Prepare for first band show: As mentioned in one of my "I Love" Sunday's posts, I am now helping out the boyfriend's band and the first show is in June. I have a lot of operational stuff to get done before then as well as marketing and what not. I hope to get everything set up this month and be comfortable and confident with everything before the month is over. I'm actually pretty stoked about this. :)

** Get registered for classes: So this one right now is more waiting on my advisor then anything I can do. I need to get some alternate pin number to register for classes and this woman is terrible at answering her email, phone, and getting back to me in general. It's driving me nuts! Once she does this, I can get registered for classes, which also start next month.

** Bullet Journal posts: Once I get things set up in my bullet journals, I would really like to do a series of blog posts or videos on the way I use my bullet journals to keep myself organized.

Short and simple goals this month, they just have a lot of little steps to get these accomplished.

What are your goals for the month of May?
