What's New?

Hello Dreamers!

Happy Tuesday! I hope you're all having a good start to November.

There were just a couple things that I wanted to touch base with you all on today. Well, for anyone that might be interested anyways.

1. Today just happens to be my 25th birthday. While I don't care much for my birthday (especially because the person I want to spend it with is stuck in the field until the 10th), it is kind of weird to think that I am 25 years old now. Where did the time go? I remember being a teenager and feeling like I would never be an adult. Now here we are.... 25.... what the heck? Haha. 

I'm halfway through my 20's! The good news is that things are finally starting to fall into place, even if it is a bit slowly. But I guess it's better late then never, right?

So, since Lee isn't around until the 10th, I'm going to veg in my room watching movies, and being lame. I think my roommate and her son might make a special dinner and a cake to celebrate with our friend Sarah and her family..... I am not entirely sure.

2. The other big news that I have is something that I have been wanting for quite a while..... a rebranding of The Diary of A Dreamer.

A rebranding means that I'll have a new web design, new color scheme, and even a new domain! That's right! I've bought a new domain for the blog because I want to really focus on my blog and make it more then just a hobby. 

While this will still be the lifestyle blog that you're familiar with, I want to focus a little more on scrapbooking and memory keeping, life after the Army while still being connected to it, and life of a college age spoonie!

Be on the look out for the upcoming changes, it shouldn't take more then a month to get it all situated!

"I Love" Sundays v.79

Hello Dreamers!!

Happy Sunday to you all.

** I finished 3 pocket letters this week while Lee was gone. Now I just need to write the letters and then mail them off. I am pretty excited about swapping pocket letters with some of the most creative ladies I have the fortune of "knowing" through the internet.

Random question:  are you guys enjoying my crafting posts here on the blog? 

** Lee came home from the field on Thursday (yay!). It was a super rainy week where we live so I felt really bad for him having to be out in the field all week.

** I started and pretty much finished the show Quantico on Netflix! While the show is a little confusing because it switches between the two timelines, I still really liked it. I can't wait to finish watching it!

** Lee and I bought a new tv yesterday! I am super excited about the new tv. I've had our old one since 2012 and it survived the move to/from Germany. During the move to Germany, because it didn't have an actual shipping box (the movers made one out of cardboard) it was damaged and it had two white lines running down the screen. Lately it has really started to bother us when we're watching tv so we decided to get a new one. Let me just say that this new tv is cheaper then the tv it's replacing.... and it's a 4K tv. It's an off brand, but the quality and sound is amazing. We're pretty sure that we aren't going to need a sound bar like we originally thought.

** We have band practice today, which is something we haven't had in over a month or so. We've had a lot of back to back shows and no time for practice (especially because I was so sick last weekend). They really need the practice time and thankfully we're doing it at Roger and Cheyanne's house, where we are more productive vs. doing it at a friend's music shop. It takes wayyyyy too long to get set up at the shop and by then everyone is so annoyed we hardly get anything done. Thankfully today they got quite a bit done, despite the weather making everyone feel a little slow and sleepy. It's nice to have a productive practice. 

** Now that I have a better camera to take videos with I am working on recording some new crafting videos for YouTube. I am pretty excited about that! ** I talked to one of my clients briefly today about whether or not she wanted to keep using my virtual assistant services and she didn't even hesitate to tell me yes. YAY! We're talking tomorrow to discuss payment and duration of her using my services, plus another task that she wants me to complete. I love the fact that she didn't even hesitate to say that she wanted to use me again. It makes my heart happy!

"I Love" Sunday's v.78

Happy Sunday Dearest Dreamers!

I hope this post finds you well.

Like my graphic? I am trying something new but I might be using this until the Halloween season is over. We'll see!

** Last weekend we opened for Adelitas Way in Wilmington, NC. The show was almost cancelled but at the last minute they changed to another venue and the show continued on. The guys did amazing (as usual) and we gained some new fans.

** If you love rock music and you haven't checked out Letter's From The Fire's new album.... I highly suggest that you do! It's an amazing album and there isn't a song on the album that I don't like. It doesn't hurt that Alexa has a killer voice!

** I've been working on a lot of craft stuff over the last two weeks, for which I am super excited for! There will be blog posts coming (or already posted) to talk about each individual craft.

** I decided to get my hair done on Wednesday, and this time I went to see my old co-worker Brenna at the Paul Mitchell school. She graduates on the 1st and I wanted to see her before she leaves to move. I decided to do something a little different and bolder since I don't have any hair restrictions (Starbucks changed their restrictions right after I left the company- go figure).

** Friday night was the first show that we've headlined and we were lucky to be sharing the stage with our good buddies of Bridge to Breakdown! We love playing with these guys. We did share the stage a little bit at some separate times, which was beyond awesome. Our bassist sang their first song for them, there was a drum battle between their drummer and Lee during our set, and their vocalist joined our guys on stage to sing an awesome rendition of Simple Man! You can watch all of the videos HERE on our timeline. One of Lee's LT's joined us for the show as well as my favorite classmate and her husband! Music definitely brings people together, which makes me love it that much more!

** I created a Virtual Assistant portfolio finally to accompany my applications for jobs. I am pretty proud of myself, it's the first time I've created something like that. This job is teaching me a lot of new skills that I haven't had before and I am LOVING it! The best part is one of my clients has me doing other tasks  that I can also add to my portfolio. That is always a bonus. Today, I am working on her Pinterest account for her.

** Unfortunately on Saturday, I made the mistake of taking the wrong medication at the wrong time and it made me sick as a dog. The good news? It made me love Lee that much more because he took care of me all day. He was super extra sweet and attentive (not that he usually isn't- because he is - but he made sure to check in on me more and get me anything that I needed. Usually on the weekends he plays his video games while I work in my office and we check on each other periodically.) Yesterday, he checked on me a whole lot. He didn't even get mad when I woke him up (5 hours after we finally went to sleep after the show) because I needed some mouth wash (we ran out) because I was sick. He didn't argue, he just got dressed and went to the store for me. Super sweet guy (no one else has taken care of me like that other then my mother). He's super sweet! Just another reason to love him that much more!

First Week of College

Hello Dreamers!

So, technically this isn't my first week of college. I've been taking college classes online since 2012 while I was deployed to Afghanistan. I ended up with 24 transferable credits  when I applied to Fayetteville State University. ((it's confusing because they go by FSU.... but that makes me think of Florida State Univ.....)). I am working on my Bachelors of Science in Business Administration focusing on Marketing. This means I am technically a sophomore or something like that, thankfully not a freshman.

Classes started Wednesday morning since it's the first day of June. I am taking two 4 week classes, Critical Thinking and College Algebra. I have class 8-10 every morning for Critical Thinking and then my Math class is broken up into two parts. From 1230-215 pm I have a Algebra Lab, which is basically where we work on our homework and the teacher is there to answer questions if we have any. This part if optional, but I figured that it was in my best interest to attend this because I suck at math. The second part is 230-430 pm, which is the actual lecture, which is where he goes over the course material.

My CT teacher is an interesting man. He's from Ghana so he has a heavy accent, and he makes a lot of lame jokes. He compensates for his accent and possible language barrier by writing a lot of stuff on the board to sharing a power point presentation. There is a lot of laughter in the class, so that is helpful, and I actually really enjoy the class so far. This class is mandatory for my degree, but I am glad that it's my first class. It's pretty easy so far, just a lot of notes and discussions in class. We've had one test, and that was online since we're summer term.

My Algebra teacher is alright. The only time he talks is if you ask him a question. He isn't as personable. He is also kind of hard to understand due to an Asian accent. During the lecture he talks way to fast and is kind of all over the place. It doesn't help that I already don't like Math and will only be taking only the necessary classes. I think I'll do okay, but I am ready for this class to be over already.

The campus is a little confusing, but this may be just because this is my first time on a college campus. Although it isn't a huge school, my classes are spread out (to include both parts of my math class) and the buildings are numbered a little weird. Thankfully someone gave me a map that has the corresponding building number as well as the name, which makes it a little easier. It's kind of weird to be a college student full time, but it isn't that bad.

I am really glad that I started with summer classes, which means smaller classes, which is easier to ease into the college life. My anxiety has been up this week, but I think it's better then if I had started in the Spring or Fall, with larger classes. Large groups of people increase my anxiety, add that to people that I don't know... and it's not a party. So what I guess I am saying, is that this first week has gone pretty well.

Happy Sunday Dreamers!!!

** HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!!!! I hope that all of you lovely mothers are having a wonderful day with your friends and family. Did you call your mother's / grandmothers, etc.?

This right here is my mother. She's a great woman who has done more then any mother or grandmother should have to do. She was handed a crappy deal and she overcame it without hesitation and my brothers and I wouldn't be who we are without her! Please note, this picture was taken when I was 16 years old... so like 8 years ago. Do not judge my blonde hair... my hair bleached itself that summer after being outside so much.

** Since it's Frappaccino Happy Hour (Frappy Hour) at work this week and next week, we got to dress up for themed days. Tuesday was the first day and it was Pajama Pants Day. I got to rock my Stitch pajama pants at work, which made me super happy! Comfy pants are the bestest!!!

** I have been doing a lot of work on my planners and journal this past week and I am all the way caught up in my scrap journal! I documented the injury to my hand, the rest of band practice, our beach trip, as well as the outfits for this week that I worked. I like seeing things come together.

** May the Fourth Be With You!!!! Of course on May the 4th the theme was Star Wars, of which I totally rocked that outfit! I bought Finn's jacket from Hot Topic and my light saber from Party City the day before. I wore a red BB-8 shirt I got months ago from Walmart and my tan skinny jeans for work. I borrowed my roommate's boots and rocked that whole outfit like it was nothing! Haha. 

This is my coworker Amy. Her son dressed her up as Rey from the new movie and he did a fantastic job, don't you think?

** The band prints I ordered came in on Thursday. We ordered these to sell at shows once the guys sign them. Roger's girlfriend Cheyanne took this photo and then I ordered the prints (it's the best picture of all four of them) and they turned out great. Things are really starting to come together for these guys and our first show is a little over a month away.

** Thursday night was Mem's band concert, and we bought the whole McNaugle tribe with us. Baby Girl was so fascinated with Lee's shirt and the texture of the skull. It's taken her a little while to warm up to him, she's like that with all men other then Mem and her father, and this is the first time he's been able to hold her without her reaching for me immediately. It's great! And adorable!

** Friday night Lee and I went out with a friend of mine from high school and his family to the fair on post. We had a great time! He told me to chose a prize that I wanted and he would win it for me, so I chose this Pikachu! There were lots of laughs (my friend's daughter is almost 2 and was jamming out to the band and later chasing the bubbles, it was cute).

** This weekend, like most of our weekends for the next unforeseeable future, was spent with the band and practicing. Cheyanne and I kind of insisted on a group picture together, so this is what we got. :) It'll be something awesome to look back on, because this is where we started. These were the first days, the hard days, and what led them to wherever they may go from here ((They definitely have big dreams)).

** Tonight we're hopefully going to see Captain America: Civil War with Memphis. We had plans for  Friday and Saturday obviously, so we had to push it to tonight. We are all so excited to see this movie... it's all Mem has talked about lately. He had a countdown going. Seriously.

Bullet Journaling

Hello lovely Dreamers!

I hope this post finds you well!

I know that I have been talking about and promising to write a post about my bullet journal(s).... well, finally... here it is... I'm sure you guys remember when I used to talk about my old planning system, the one in my custom made MyDorian by Chris Bennett. I was using Moleskine inserts for different things, one of my which was my planner inspired by Jenny Penton.

I love the way that she designed her planning system, and it worked for a little while, but then I fell back into my list making style of planning and it just wasn't working right for me. It's a fantastic method, don't get me wrong, it's just... I work better in lists. I'd seen Bullet Journaling across YouTube, first I think I saw Rhomany's in her Travelers Notebook a couple months ago, and I finally decided to look into it since it was becoming so popular (or at least showing up so much on my recommended videos)... and that was it. It was absolutely history for me!



First off, it you have no idea what Bullet Journaling is, stop what you're doing and go watch this video created by Ryder Caroll (the creater of this system). It's ok... I'll wait.

Kara of Boho Berry is a huge inspiration to me. She does some gorgeous work in her own bullet journal and it's inspiring.

She took Ryder's system and made it her own and it's great! She's shown her own twists to the system that inspire a lot of women to try the system. It's a great way to combine organizational planning and creativity. Seriously, go check out her YouTube, Instagram, or even just her blog. She is also the person that kind of "gave me permission" if that is the right phrase, to keep a separate book for Faith and Scars as well as a master bujo for everything outside my monthly plan books. She herself keeps a regular bujo, one for her blogging and business, and a third one for another business that she helps out with. Seeing that made me feel a little bit better about how I was going to move forward with my planning journey.

Monthly Plan Book

So, this really hasn't changed a whole lot. This one is still a Moleskine Cahier notebook that comes in a three pack from Amazon or Barnes and Nobels. I moved from a blank insert to a grid insert. 

It's still set up the same way, the monthly calendar is first. I've had to start color coding things in different categories so that things stand out a little bit better to me. The colors will be changing again next month since I will be starting school early in the month. 

After that are my goal pages; personal, blog, photography, house, and crafting, they each have their own pages for goals. After that is my weekly spread and then I go into my daily pages. Same basic layout as before. I'll share a walkthrough of May's set up in the next couple of week's. 

I still keep my scrap journal in another insert inside my TN, I haven't abandoned that method of memory keeping. I have to film a video on my latest completed journal for those that are interested. 

Master Bujo

The second bujo that I keep is what I am calling my master bujo. I'm using it for collections and other things that are more long term then my monthly plan books. For this one, I am using a Moleskine hard covered black grid notebook. I was hoping for another color, but this is all that my local stores had and I didn't feel like waiting for something to get shipped. 

I put a sticker on the front from my other bujo just to signify which one this is, since all of my hard covered ones are black. So far, this is the one that I use the most. I'm still working on collections that I want or need inside. So far I've transferred my Home Improvement List in here, notes about a band I like, a future log from May-July, some journaling prompts for when I am stuck, as well as some blog stuff. 

Faith and Scars Band Book:

This may be the book I am most excited about. For different reasons. 

1. For those that can't tell... this is one of the Official Bullet Journals from Ryder's website. Yeah... it's the OFFICIAL one. It's got a spot for forward planning, which I set up. I like that the index is already there, this means I am more likely to use it if its already there. I like how the pages are already numbered, saves me a lot of trouble. I'll do a total review on this book later on this month.

I use this book for all things band related. I've mentioned that my boyfriend, Lee, is the drummer in a band, and that I am now helping run things in the band. I run the social media, am a photographer, and I need to keep track of everything. Shows and what not. So I started this. Lee is rather impressed and intrigued by it, he knows it's because I have a tendency to forget things. 

This is just a brief look at the three books I use to plan and organize my life and the necessary things that I am involved in. I plan to do more in-depth looks at my planners on a later date.

21 Questions About Me

Hello dearest Dreamers! I hope this post finds you well. We've been slowly moving our stuff from our apartment to our new house over the last couple of days. Amy works Saturday-Monday, so we only move a couple of car loads after she gets out of work. Memphis and I move some stuff when I have the motivation. We also picked up a gas grill, push land mower, and a loveseat for the den from a friend of mine before she left for California Friday night.

So one of my new favorite blogs to read is the lovely Keating at Keating & Co. and I'm getting caught up on my Bloglovin' list and this post popped up in my feed. It is a list of 21 questions that she answered and then tagged her readers to participate in. I love learning more about the people behind the blog, so I figured (a little late) that I would share my own answers with my lovely readers. Here we go:

1  |  Are you named after anyone?  Not that I am aware of. I asked my mom who my birth mother named me after and we have absolutely no idea.

2  |  When was the last time you cried?  Not TV/movie related? Probably around Christmas time when my debit card information was stolen and I couldn't buy any presents for ANYONE in my family in Florida.

3  |  Do you have kids?  I do not, but as you know, I do live with a 13 year old boy that I call my nephew (for the sake of ease of explaining the dynamic of the "McNaugle" family.

4  |  If you were another person, would you be a friend of yourself?  I would like to think so, but I know that I am hard to handle sometimes

5  |  Do you use sarcasm a lot?  God yes. Sometimes it how I cope with situations. Other times it's kind of inevitable and an involuntary response.

6  |  Will you ever bungee-jump?  Not a chance in hell. It's no so much a fear of heights, but more a fear of falling to my death after the cord used breaks because I have craptastic luck. 

7  |  What’s your favorite cereal?  I don't usually eat cereal anymore, but when I do, it's Lucky Charms, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, or Cherrioes with extra sugar.

8  |  What’s the first thing you notice about people? It depends on how they catch my attention, does that make sense? There are so many people around me every single day, so it depends on what they do that catches my attention. Usually it's people's voices because that is what makes me look. After that it's maybe their eyes, or their laugh, or their clothes. 

9  |  What is your eye color?  Brown. Usually a dark brown that borders on black.

10  |  Scary movie or happy ending?  I prefer happy ending. Scary movies are kind of a no go for me now a days, I have an overactive imagination and give myself nightmares. I get a very little amount of sleep as it is, so I don't need help keeping myself awake.

11  |  Favorite smells?  Hmmm, it depends. I like apple cinnamon, some of the boys body washes, and some other wax burning scents. I'd have to pull out my car of scents to tell you for sure.

12  |  Summer or winter?  Is this really a question?  I have an intense dislike for cold weather... so summer all the way!!!! I like the warmth and being able to be outside in the sun. I don't have issues in high heat (that was helpful in Afghanistan) like most people do and humidity doesn't bother me either. 

13  |  Computer or television?  Computer. Because I can do so much on my computer. I  don't really watch tv (usually only Legends of Tomorrow and HGTV) but I watch a lot of Netflix.... so this little machine can multitask for me. Like as I am typing this I am listening to Elise Joy's Podcast while typing.

14  |  What’s the furthest you’ve ever been from home?  Afghanistan. or Kuwait... I don't know which one is further from the East Coast.... probably Afghanistan. 

15  |  Do you have any special talents?  Meh. I don't know if they're special talents, but I sing... I'm crafty... and I like to make people happy.

16  |  Where were you born?  Military hospital on Fort Hood Army Base in Killeen, Texas. I have no memories of the base though, I didn't live there very long.

17  |  What are your hobbies?  Writing, working out, photography, ummmm….stalking people on social media?  I don’t know anymore.  90% of my time nowadays is spent working on this blog and/or schoolwork.

18  |  Do you have any pets?  We have one dog named Jack.  He’s a three and a half year old German Shepard.  I’d love to get a second one at some point, but one is enough for now.

19  |  Favorite movie?  Nightmare Before Christmas. The Harry Potter Series. Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit. Christopher Nolan's Batman series. 

20  |  Do you have any siblings?  I do! I have a younger sister and another brother by blood. Being raised by my grandmother though (You guys know her as my mom), I gained an older brother (he's my uncle?). There are also a couple of dear friends that I consider family (Lindsay, Ashes, Amy, Josh....)

21  |  What exactly do you want to be when you grow up?  I want to be a full time photographer who can support myself on my photography. I also want to be a full time blogger and maybe a crafter? All of these things kind of intertwine, which I think is perfect. I love being a barista at MY Starbucks (there are like 4 in my area and they are building more but I love the one I work at specifically) but it's not something that I want to do for the rest of my life. It's basically just a way to support myself while I go to college and figure out my life.

"I Love" Sundays v.61

Hello dearest friends!

This has been kind of an exciting (but super long week)

** Monday found me cracking open the Harry Potter coloring book that I bought some time ago while Amy took a nap on the couch and I colored my first page. I didn't want to do any of the more complicated pages just yet because I was incredibly tired, so I started with the Gryffindor crest. Slytherin is next!

** Also on Monday, while I was at work, this lovely lady below came into my store and told me "This may sound weird, but I follow you on Instagram. I knew you worked at Starbucks but I didn't put two and two together that you worked at THIS Starbucks." It made my day to have met this lovely lady. You can follow her on IG here! ((I need to take a better picture next time, but I was at work and I wasn't supposed to have my phone out but I wanted a picture with this gorgeous and sweet girl))

 ** Tuesday was an incredibly long day for me. I took a coworkers shift because she didn't have someone to watch her young son, so I worked for 11.5 hours. I was exhausted, closing two days in a row and then such a long day on the second day. Thankfully, I closed with a great group of people, and the guy that I talked about last Sunday visited me during my dinner break. It was sweet.

** Speaking of my work. Some of the regulars have started to learn my name (I've been working the front counter a lot lately) and thankfully all have patience with me when I need help figuring out what a "Black Eye" or a "Dirty Chai" is ((can you tell that I really don't drink much coffee?)) The other upside is that I have started to learn some of their names! This makes me happy!!!

** Thursday had me running into an old NCO of mine from when I was stationed here back 2011-2014. He was a super awesome guy and we almost literally ran into each other in the food court at the mini mall! I am going to meet him at his work tomorrow to help him with his VA packet because he is retiring soon. 

** I found Kara of Boho Berry sometime this week and was kind of hooked on her style of bullet journaling. I LOVE the way that she does it! She is so creative and talented and she makes her bujo more then just a simple to do list! I love her handwriting and she has inspired me with some new collections to add to my scrap-journal! 

** Friday was a super busy but successful day for me and my little McNaugle family! Amy and I decided that we were going to get our hair done (I needed a new dye job because the blonde and brown was starting to show through again and I wanted to do something different) so this is what I did! I also had her curl my hair when she was done dying and highlighting it! I love how it turned out. It didn't stay curled for very long, but I just love the color - it's red with copper highlights. The bottom looks more reddish brown, but that's ok.

** On Friday we also got the keys to our new house! Like I told you guys in this post! Make sure you check that one out!!!

What are you loving from this past week?

February Goals

Hello dearest friends!

Today is the beginning of a new month, which brings new goals. Yesterday was my first brunch with my new chapter of Geek Girl brunch, so expect a post on that in the near future. Before I start sharing some goals for February, I wanted to recap my January Goals and the progress that I made.

Craft Goals:

* Create 2016 yearly book: It may not be pretty, but I do have a book for future planning and other goal planning for 2016

* Scrap-journal: IN PROGRESS It has been started. Again, it's not pretty... but it is started.

* Decorate inserts to sell: FAILED Due to everything else that happened this month, I have yet to create any inserts to sell. I did get some stuff written out for these.

* Re-open The Quirky Craftsters on-line craft biz: The Facebook page has been created and everything set up. We've even gotten some likes and I've sent a couple of people there for inquiries. It's at least started.

* Complete month one of One Little Word: This was a little bit easier then I expected. I did some journaling in my January plan book about OLW, and even mentioned it here on the blog.I saved the handouts that Ali shared in the classroom and did the written work in my book. I've done some picture taking and documenting things on social media, but nothing is put together into an actual set mini book. It might just take it's place across my monthly plan books. We'll see.

* Finish December Daily: FAILED I was unable to work on the book this month like I wanted to. Partially due to a lack of motivation, but also because I've been focusing on my blog, home stuff, and trying to get a job. I'll get this book finished eventually! 

Blogging:

* Match YouTube and the blog: FAILED Mostly because I didn't do anything on YouTube this month. See above reasoning.

* Start sponsorship on the blog and apply to be a sponsor on other blogs: IN PROGRESS I wrote out my sponsorship page and sponsored ONE blog this month.... which is more then none. Haha. Kimi was an easy choice to get started with and is a lovely woman. We've corresponded over email this month about various topics and I think she is a great lady! I hope one day to meet her in person!

* Build readership and interaction: IN PROGRESS I think this will always be an in progress goal for me. I joined a couple of specific blogging groups that have helped out. I've started getting more comments on my blog and also some comments on my Facebook page, which makes me super stoked!

Photography:

* Build stock photo collection on my own: FAILED There was no photography work completed this month. Sadly.

* 5 sessions this month: FAILED See above. :(

Home stuff:

* Get apartment: I have an apartment in my name at the moment.

* Stuff from Florida: FAILED I haven't made the trip to Florida this month with everything else going on.

* Decorate: FAILED I have a bunch of stuff to decorate with, but there is a surprise coming later on in February  that will expound on this.

Personal Goals:

* Get a job: IN PROGRESS Waiting to hear back from Starbucks on whether or not I have a job with them

* Finish school application: IN PROGRESS My application is complete and my parents picked up my high school transcripts to mail to me. I've sent things in... now I am just waiting to hear back from the school that I was accepted.

* Start fitness goals: IN PROGRESS The goals are written out so technically this is done.... I think? lol. I didn't have my running shoes to actually do anything. My stuff has arrived though... so we can now begin!

Home Stuff:

* Get Set Up: This is a surprise that can't be shared until the end of the month.

* Stuff from Florida/ Cancel Storage unit

Crafting:

* Paint a canvas for Memphis

* Attend a Wine and Paint

* Finish my Doctor Who Cowl

* Month 2 of One Little Word

Personal:

* Go to the gym

* Money in savings

* Start paying Mom back: During Christmas my parents gave me some money after my account was shut down. I want to pay my mother back for her help.

* JOB

I am trying to keep my goal list for the month shorter then the list from January. Hopefully by doing this, I can get more things accomplished and not have so many in progress goals.

"I Love" Sunday's v.58

Hello friends

Happy Sunday!! 

** Tuesday was a big day for me. The Golden Snitch Giveaway hosted by Kimi from KimiWho went live! I am a sponsor for the giveaway and her blog. I have gotten to know her over the course of this month through her blog and through email exchanges.... she is AWESOME! And super sweet! Each month she is hosting a geek related giveaway. ** Tuesday was also my first day at my new job! I am now a barista at Starbucks here in Fayetteville. I am pretty stoked about it because I love the people I work with already!!! I get to wear an apron that says I am an Army Veteran with a flag, I get a book to read if I want too, and lots of benefits that I didn't know existed for a company like this.

** My roommate and I started going to the gym after dropping Memphis off at school. Right now, all we're doing is spending at least 30 minutes on the treadmill, but it's definitely a good start considering I haven't worked out since March or April of last year. I'm hoping that it will help both of us with our productivity during the days (instead of just coming back home to go back to sleep).

** Friday was fun. Amy and I went out with some of the EMT's at her hospital for dinner and then we ended up at our favorite country bar. I made a couple of new friends, taught some ladies how to two step, and just had a great time. It started off slow (no one really wanted to talk to me at first) and they wanted to let me talk to my roommate (they said I needed to make my own friends), but eventually we started talking and hit it off.

** Earlier today I made the drive to Raleigh to meet my new chapter of Geek Girl Brunch. Today's brunch was Star Wars themed and we had a blast. I made 5 new geeky girlfriends and I can't wait to see them again at our next brunch! I am waiting to get the group picture, but here are some goodies that I went home with!
