"I Love" Sunday v.69

Happy Sunday Dreamers!!!

** HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!!!! I hope that all of you lovely mothers are having a wonderful day with your friends and family. Did you call your mother's / grandmothers, etc.?

This right here is my mother. She's a great woman who has done more then any mother or grandmother should have to do. She was handed a crappy deal and she overcame it without hesitation and my brothers and I wouldn't be who we are without her! Please note, this picture was taken when I was 16 years old... so like 8 years ago. Do not judge my blonde hair... my hair bleached itself that summer after being outside so much.

** Since it's Frappaccino Happy Hour (Frappy Hour) at work this week and next week, we got to dress up for themed days. Tuesday was the first day and it was Pajama Pants Day. I got to rock my Stitch pajama pants at work, which made me super happy! Comfy pants are the bestest!!!

** I have been doing a lot of work on my planners and journal this past week and I am all the way caught up in my scrap journal! I documented the injury to my hand, the rest of band practice, our beach trip, as well as the outfits for this week that I worked. I like seeing things come together.

** May the Fourth Be With You!!!! Of course on May the 4th the theme was Star Wars, of which I totally rocked that outfit! I bought Finn's jacket from Hot Topic and my light saber from Party City the day before. I wore a red BB-8 shirt I got months ago from Walmart and my tan skinny jeans for work. I borrowed my roommate's boots and rocked that whole outfit like it was nothing! Haha.

This is my coworker Amy. Her son dressed her up as Rey from the new movie and he did a fantastic job, don't you think?

** The band prints I ordered came in on Thursday. We ordered these to sell at shows once the guys sign them. Roger's girlfriend Cheyanne took this photo and then I ordered the prints (it's the best picture of all four of them) and they turned out great. Things are really starting to come together for these guys and our first show is a little over a month away.

** Thursday night was Mem's band concert, and we bought the whole McNaugle tribe with us. Baby Girl was so fascinated with Lee's shirt and the texture of the skull. It's taken her a little while to warm up to him, she's like that with all men other then Mem and her father, and this is the first time he's been able to hold her without her reaching for me immediately. It's great! And adorable!

** Friday night Lee and I went out with a friend of mine from high school and his family to the fair on post. We had a great time! He told me to chose a prize that I wanted and he would win it for me, so I chose this Pikachu! There were lots of laughs (my friend's daughter is almost 2 and was jamming out to the band and later chasing the bubbles, it was cute).

** This weekend, like most of our weekends for the next unforeseeable future, was spent with the band and practicing. Cheyanne and I kind of insisted on a group picture together, so this is what we got. :) It'll be something awesome to look back on, because this is where we started. These were the first days, the hard days, and what led them to wherever they may go from here ((They definitely have big dreams)).

P.S. If you're interested, they are a rock band called Faith and Scars. Check them out on YouTube, Instagram, or Facebook! We love any and all support.

Roger, Cheyanne, Josh, me, Lee, and Brandon
** Tonight we're hopefully going to see Captain America: Civil War with Memphis. We had plans for  Friday and Saturday obviously, so we had to push it to tonight. We are all so excited to see this movie... it's all Mem has talked about lately. He had a countdown going. Seriously.

Review: Deadpool Movie [[SPOILERS ALERT]]

Hello Dreamers!

My little family (plus two) went and saw Deadpool in theaters the day after it came out. I told myself that I would wait TWO WEEKS before sharing my review, hoping to give you dreamers time to see the movie. I hate when people spoil movies for me, so I decided to wait. But I can wait no more!

Deadpool was AMAZEBALLS!!!! I love how it opened with the credits listing the producers as "some asshats" while going through an extreme slow motion fight scene. Deadpan is known for being the Merc with a mouth, and he most definitely lived up to that title in this movie. I knew, from the trailers, that Ryan Reynolds would be perfect to play Deadpool, and he did not disappoint! Partially because he needed to make up for what they did to Deadpool in X-Men... ((P.S. I really did love the comments about the suit....))

I never read the comic books, Memphis did, but the movie didn't disappoint either of it. I liked the parts where he looked directly to the camera and spoke to the audience, dropping hints left and right. I also appreciated how Deadpool made fun of the X-Men crossed timelines, a few comments about the Avengers, and talking directly about Hugh Jackman. Didn't he open the movie discussing the actor's genital personally?

There was definitely plenty of violence and they warned us about sex and nudity. The best part of that was either when Wade Wilson proposed to his girlfriend Vanessa with a candy ring, she then asks where he was hiding the ring, and the shot pans out to see Wilson just wearing an ugly christmas sweater; or the moment when you see Stan Lee's cameo as an announcer at the trip Club! I was dying throughout this entire movie! Damn near in tears.

So the main point of this story is that Wade Wilson (Reynolds) is a dishonorably charged Spec Ops Soldier, who is now a mercenary. He is part of a club that runs a "Dead Pool", placing bets on who is going to die. He meets a girl named Vanessa, who happens to be a stripper, and they eventually fall in love. Then he is diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer in multiple parts of his body. He is approached by this man who says that he has a cure and can help Wade become a superhero. Mostly, he just wanted to be cured to continue his life with his fiance. He decided to go through with the procedure and meets a man who calls himself Ajax, who reveals that he isn't going to make him into a hero, but into a mindless drone. After the torture they put him through simply to activate any latent mutant genes, he wants revenge... and for Ajax to fix him. In his pursuit of the man who can't feel any pain, he runs into Colossus and another mutant (Negasonic TeenageWarhead) from Xavier's School for the Gifted. He eventually finds Ajax (who kidnaps Vanessa and holds her hostage), knowing that Wilson will come to rescue her. Needless to say, there is a huge fight (and it was funny when he spelt Ajax's name in bodies) and Deadpool managed to win. Then, Vanessa see's his face for the first time since the torture and things work out just fine in the end.

Like I mentioned above, I was cracking up throughout the whole movie. Deadpool wanted to come across as an anti-hero, but this was definitely more of his origin story. I loved the blind lady that he ended up living with for a while. I loved his buddy that was a bartender and the bar that they spent a lot of time in. I loved the sassiness of Vanessa. I just loved the entire movie! I would definitely see it again!

Hot Topic Top 5 Wishlist

Hello dearest friends
This post contains affiliate links.

Shop Gifts at HotTopic.com!

Although I will be spending this upcoming Valentines Day with my roommate and her son, I am totally okay with that. I've never been a fan of this holiday because I think it's ridiculous that there is one day a year that you're supposed to show your love to your significant other.... I believe in doing that every day possible. I've always felt like that, even when I had a significant other.

Anywho, today I wanted to show you 5 items on my wishlist of things I would love to get from Hot Topic this month. This is all from their website. For a limited time they are having a 20% off sale online, even on clearance items!

Harley Quinn Split Leg Tights
I have a huge love of Harley Quinn, especially with the Suicide Squad movie coming up this year. I'm thinking of dressing like her to go see the movie, and I think these tights would be perfect.

Star Wars R2-D2 Cord Bracelet
In the original set of movies, R2-D2 was my favorite character in the Star Wars Saga.

Harry Potter Wand & Feather Necklace
As most of you know, I am a huge fan of Harry Potter, so this necklace is a no brainer to me!

Marvel Deadpool Earrings
In honor of the moving coming out next week, these earrings would be a perfect but subtle way to demonstrate your love for the Merc with the Mouth!

Marvel Deadpool Kawaii Girls Pullover
Speaking of the upcoming movie, this pullover would be perfect to wear to the premier!

I think these five items are super cute and I might be buying a couple of them once I get paid on Friday. It helps that I have a Hot Topic Card and some discount cards.... it helps feed my addiction to their store. Do you ladies shop at Hot Topic?

Must See 2016 [[Part 2]]

Hello dearest Dreamers

Here is the second part of my Must See 2016 List!

Kung Fu Panda 3

I love Kung Fu Panda! Potentially because I love most (if not all) Disney / Pixar / Dreamworks movies! I think Jack Black is comical as Po, and I loved the first two movies, so this one is kind of a must see for me

X-Men: Apocalypse

I love the X-Men movies (I dunno why) so of course, I would have to add this movie to the list. It's a little weird seeing young Charles Xavier without hair, but meh.... I'm curious to see how this movie is going to go. I may be in the minority (I know some people don't like the more recent movies, but I think they're alright)
Zootopia

Disney movie.... do I need to say more? The scene with the sloths cracks me up!

Gambit

I'm not sure how I'm going to like Channing Tatum as a superhero, but I'm going to see it anyways. So I like all Marvel and DC movies/tv shows thus far, so I figure I will give it a try! I like the character in the X-Men Wolverine Origins movie, I'm hoping that this movie is a good movie.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2

So the teenager and I were watching trailers and this one popped up, also a given. I am really impressed with the fact that Mem knows all the character names!! I remember when these guys were cartoons! I gotta rematch the first movie cuz I don't remember it.

What'cha looking forward to?

Must See 2016 [[Part 1]]

Hello dreamers!

My household goods have been delivered today, which makes me super stoked! I get to have all my stuff!!!! Which is fantastic since it started snowing a little bit last night and it's freezing. My cold weather clothes are finally here! YAY!

Today I wanted to share with you a list of movies and television shows that I want to see coming out in 2016! There are quite a few, so I have broken this list down into separate posts to be shared across several Thursdays!

Deadpool

I mean, come on! Who doesn't want to see this movie? Okay, so I can think of several people that I know personally that won't see this movie... but who in the geeky community won't see this movie? I think Ryan Reynolds is hysterical and perfect for this part. Especially to make up for how they played Deadpool in X-Men Origins (Wolverine's). That may have not been his name..... but it was basically the same premise. I love how when they are wheeling him into an operating room and he is talking about outfits you can hear him mumbling "Don't make it green.... or animated" referencing his time as Green Lantern. I can't wait to see it.... I laugh my ass off overtime I watch the trailers.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story

This is more for the teenage boy I live with's benefit more then mine. I am getting back into Star Wars thanks to him.... but I'll see this moreso because he wants to and needs someone to take him. I like that digital effects skills are tons better and the movies are just created better.

Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice

C'mon... anyone who knows me know's this.... I LOVE Batman and am super curious to see how this movie play's out. The posters have been out for what seems like forever. Batman all the way!

Norm of the North

I love all things Disney and the preview for this movie makes me chuckle. "You even smell like a real polar bear" "Thanks..." This should be cute!

Captain America: Civil War

Um, do I really need an explanation for this one? Yes, okay. I LOVE the Avengers! I know the premise of what starts Civil War, but I do like the fact that Bucky is back (spoilers for anyone who hasn't seen the trailers yet). My opinion so far (without having read the comics) of course Iron Man wants people to register. He doesn't care because he announced who he was on national television in Iron Man 2. It doesn't surprise me that Captain America doesn't believe that super heroes should be made to register. Although I don't know his reasonings yet, here are a few that make sense to me: not everyone wants the notoriety that Tony does, some of them just do it because they want to help, they are afraid to be registered (thinking of Hitler here <- I think Cap references this in one of the trailers)

TV Show: Legends of Tomorrow:

This just looks awesome! First off - it's Rory from Doctor Who!! Heck yeah!!!! I like the heroes that they are pulling in for the show, I think I saw Arrow, Black Canary, Heatwave, Captain Cold, and some other characters that show up in one or two episodes! I can't wait for this to come out on the CW. If I am not mistaken, this comes on tonight!

What movies are you looking forward to coming out this year?

The Nightmare that was Traveling

Hello friends. Happy Monday.
I hope this email finds you well.

This is me complaining for the moment... but that is pretty much simply because the trip totally sucked,

So I didn't sleep much Friday night/Saturday morning, no matter how hard I tried. I think it was just the nerves of the trip. Anyone who knows me knows how much I dislike flying and avoided it when possible. So I finally gave up on sleeping around 0615 and decided to finish getting ready to go and head down to the lobby to meet everyone else around 0650. We were told that we needed to have our stuff in the vans by like 0755 because we were leaving at 0800, but of course two people were late. I don't know why it's that hard to be on time.... it just infuriates me.

We finally got to the airport around 0900, which was kind of irritating to me. We didn't leave until 1240, but had to be there at there stupid early. We got checked in, dropped off my suitcase, and the lady at the desk was nice enough to give me TSA precheck so I didn't have to remove my shoes, jacket, or take out my electronics. Then three of my friends and I went and sat in a little bistro to kill time. They ate, didn't enjoy it, and then we went to sit at our gate.

Murch and I both have walking canes, so we were supposed to board first. Instead, the airline people let all the families with children board before us, so Murch and I didn't have a lot of time to get situated before we were bombarded with everyone else. This didn't make me too happy because I don't like being rushed. I use pre-boarding for a specific reason.... but that's whatever. The pilots came over the intercom to tell us that before we left the gate, they had to start one of the engines at the gate because it wouldn't start on it's own..... I'm an Air Traffic Controller and know that that's not right. My only question is why are we using airplanes that have issues (I forget if I told you guys but when we flew from Norfolk to Atlanta, the airplane had a cracked windshield) instead of just switching airplanes to one that is safe. In the Army, these are issues that will ground an aircraft from flight, why is this different in the civilian world?!?!?

Getting through the airport in Atlanta wasn't bad, we made it to the tram thingy right as it arrived, so we didn't have to wait until we got to our gate. This was like a 3 hour wait, but it wasn't bad. I got a snack wrap and fries from McDonalds and this is when I downloaded those games that I talked about yesterday. I also got the gentleman at the counter to switch my window seat to an isle seat, even better, it was a seat where I could stretch out my left leg. This is where the good things ended and things went stupid.

We were stuck sitting on the airplane at the gate for a mix of two short thunderstorms (apparently people don't understand how lightning and severe thunderstorms will ground an entire airport- I wasn't mad about that. I understand that due to my job). The part that irritated me was during the times in between the storms, the crew kept having to load new things onto the airplane, like why wasn't this luggage all put together to be loaded while we were waiting for the thunderstorm to pass? During this wait, the ac wasn't working right, so we were all overheating in the airplane. Once we finally got moving, we then had to wait on the runway for 22 other aircraft to take off in front of us due to the weather delay. This caused another 30 minute delay for our takeoff.

Once we finally took off, the pilots or crew didn't instill much confidence in me due to their inability to talk in complete sentences. The safety video was like a elementary school child put it together. None of it (outside of the words they were saying made much sense). It actually made my headache hurt worse then it already did. I started watching The Book of Life (for the second time) but then they had to restart the entertainment center because it wasn't working properly and the system does NOT have a functioning fast forward button, I basically just had to re-watch over half the movie again to get back to where I left off. The internet wasn't working right until about 4 hours into the flight (which I was planning on using to ease my nerves from flying and my irritation with how this flight was going- if I am going to pay hundreds of dollars for this ticket (for a trip the Army is making me take) then the stuff that I pay for better freaking work!

This pilot was worried about turbulence two separate times that he stopped the food and drink service right before they got to me. And we didn't even hit any turbulence! The food was meh (don't expect much from airplane food), but at least it was something to help settle my acid reflux (which was acting up because of the nerves). I managed to sleep for 2 hrs and 10 minutes during this 8 hour flight (I wear a LifeTrak watch that tracks see, heart rate, steps taken, miles walked, and it can track workouts too (but I haven't figured that one out yet). I rarely sleep on airplanes, especially when I'm irritated, in pain, and my nerves are fried.

We were two hours late landing in Frankfurt airport, then we had to go through Customs and then wait 30 minutes for our bags to make it out at baggage claim. One of the guys in my group was taking a train too, so we had to go try to get new train tickets, since we missed our trains. We had to go to 3 separate places before we found the right place to pick up our new tickets, which cost me another 63 euro (on top of the 35 Euro that I already paid for my first ticket) and sent my heart rate sky rocketing to 165. I was not happy!

Thankfully everything was smooth after that. Mo picked me up from the train station in Stuttgart and we went to get lunch. We hung out for a while after that, me trying to wake up enough to drive back to my base. He had to work today and I didn't, so I decided to head home. I didn't leave until around 2200- which was later then I intended. I made it home just after midnight and went to bed after 0200 this morning.

Thankfully I slept more today then I have in quite a while (including after my trip to Busch Gardens last weekend). I woke up for an hour and a half this morning around 0800, and then fell asleep again. Needless to say, my back is on fire, my entire left leg is throbbing, my right hip is fighting me to cooperate properly, and my head is throbbing. I've spent most of the day hiding in my room with no lights other then my television or cell phone. It's hard to move today.

For once I actually look as miserable as I feel.

I got called into work shortly after I woke up finally because I had to sign some paperwork. This meant I had to drive to work, which is not something my body was happy about. Once I got to work everyone wanted to ask about my trip and if I knew anything yet about the process of my VA claim.... I didn't want to talk about it because I was in pain, but I was polite. I checked my email briefly (to find the paperwork that I needed to re-sign for the 4th time) and I had 121 emails to go through. That's for tomorrow though, I am not dealing with that today. I tried to send an email out and since there were two ID cards in the computer, when I thought I was putting in the password to my card, it was actually to the other card and my coworkers ID card got locked out (for which I feel really horrible! It's a pain in the ass to get the cards unlocked).

The highlight of my day today was getting my Find Your Voice kit from Kristin for the workshop starting Wednesday as well as my Marvel Collectors Corps box. It was themed Ant-Man.

a variant cover for comic #5, an Ant-man t-shirt, a collectors pin and patch, two mini bobble head figures, and a Funko Ant -man with a real sized Ant-man figure included. I love how these subscription boxes are themed, but they only come once every two months. I wish they came more often.

The Find Your Voice 2015 main kit with a currently stamp set, extra Currently cards,  a number stamp set, and the relationship stamp set. Can't wait to play with all these pretty things for the workshop

Needless to say I've literally had a killer headache ALL day long on top of the other pain I'm in, which has not put me in a good mood. It's a good thing that my contact with the outside world was limited for face-to-face contact and my online contact was with people I wanted to be in contact with.  I have to work nights this week (only 2, possibly 3 nights) before we have a 4 day weekend for 4th of July, and then we don't have flights again until August- thanks to block leave starting a few days after the 4 day and lasting until almost the end of July.

That is the end of my rant. Honestly the trip probably wouldn't have been as bad were I not in as much pain, if I had slept more and wasn't completely exhausted, if my stress level hadn't gone through the roof, and everything didn't hurt. Oh well. I thankfully will only have to make that trip one more time, and that is when I leave Germany for good. It'll be a one way trip, that will be fantastic!!

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend. I am going to try to make myself stay up a little longer to get into a type of schedule for this week.

"I Love" Sunday's v.27

Hello friends and happy Sunday!

♥ Thanks to listening to Pandora at work during this last rotation, I came across a lot of new (to me) music that I really enjoyed! Was introduced to Ed Sheeren (my boss likes listening to Thinking Out Loud every day), Jasmine Thompson, and Christina Perri. So I got them, Imagine Dragons, One Republic, The Script, and I Prevail on my iPod now. Rather enjoying having new music!

♥ Last night I went to Kareoke with some of my friends from when I first moved to Germany at a little bar in their area. It's a German bar but is frequented by American's. There was a lot of great music and not so great singers, but we had fun.

♥ This month is the month of birthday's for me. Grandmother's bday was yesterday, The 4th started it off with a friend from base, followed by a pen pal, today is Mother's Day and a friends bday, tomorrow is Dad's birthday, the 15th is Mom's, the 17th is my best friend Lindsay and my penpal Patti, the 20th is my longest standing friendship (since 5th grade), and then there are two more at the end of the month. Busy busy busy for me!

♥ This weekend I got all caught up on my TV shows, which always makes me happy. I hate having to wait a week to watch my shows and get all caught up. I tend to forget what happens in that week between episodes and it makes me a little annoyed (kinda weird, I know).

♥ Friday was a Hail & Farewell for work. We went to this nice German restraunt in a nearby town and most of the entire unit came out. This is the biggest Hail & Farewell we've had since like last June when our old LTC left and we went on an all day adventure at the Weltenburg Monestary (they make their own beer). This time, our LTC is leaving us as well, as are a bunch of people surprisingly. The food was good though, and I hung out with our crew chiefs and had fun. I did get to spend the last like 2 hours taking photos of the event for our Facebook page... which is always an adventure.

♥ Finally redid my Photography website and Blog because I have been working on a rebranding of my business :) That made me super excited! I know there still needs some work to be done to make my blog look more professional, but I did the current look on my own, and I am pretty happy about it! I have a new logo and what not! I am super excited to being going back to the states before the end of the year and actually being able to charge for my photography! I haven't been able to due to the boss of the Tower wouldn't let me submit paperwork to our team command for signature allowing me to have a Home Based Business during my free time ((he's a butthead)) so I haven't been able to charge for any of the work I have been doing since I got here last March.

My new logo
♥ The flyer is finally out for the upcoming Hope sessions for my post's Relay for Life event at the start of next month.  I am super excited. I have been thinking of this idea since last year's Relay and I finally got it to come to life (for lack of a better phrase. It's late.... sssshhhhhhhhh). Basically I am teaming up with 4 other local photographers and we're each doing 10 sessions at a discounted rate and all the money made gets donated to Relay For Life. (( You can donate to my team here)). We're all pretty excited and it'll be awesome to get to spend time with other photographers!

Our flyer
♥ My Marvel Collectors Corps box came in finally! Super excited about that. It's a bi-monthly subscription box that has a Marvel theme each time. The first box was themed for Avengers: Age of Ultron since the movie came out on the 1st! It was awesome! I got a t-shirt, 6" Hulkbuster from Funko!, an Ultron Dorbz toy, a Captain America pin, a special comic, and an Ultron patch! The nerd in me was having a field day!!!

Marvel Collector Corps items!

.: Little Loves:.

"I Love" Sunday's v.17

Welcome friends and happy Sunday to you all!

How do you like my new graphic? I made it using PicMonkey because I wanted something for these posts like I have for 5 Fandom Friday's. I may make some for my other common recipes although I will try to make them prettier and more unique.

** Yesterday was Valentines Day and I got to spend it hanging out with Mo, which is my favorite place to be! We met some of our friends at our favorite Irish pub called The Auld Rogue for dinner since they happened to be in our area (our friends are from the same base that I am and they just happened to be in our neighborhood. It was nice). Mo also signed up for his second Whiskey tasting which will be next month. I go as his DD and I get food for 10 Euro.

** Got a new Wacom Intuos Creative Pen Tablet from the Apple store yesterday in the local German mall. I can't wait to use it to start creating some of my own PL cards for our albums and my snail mail friends! ALSO! The people there were super nice and super helpful. Sometimes Germans don't like American's because there are a lot of self-centered, arrogant American soldiers here and they think we're all the same when we're not... but these people were very professional and had no issue with the fact that Mo and I knew very little German. He bought a new Yetti microphone to hook up to his computer for music and for potentially creating a new podcast (my broadcasting boyfriend just doing what he loves). So we're pretty stoked with our purchases for the day!

** Mo and I set up our new bookshelf from Ikea in the office on Friday and covered it with our geeky things... which was the sole purpose behind the bookshelf in the first place! I love the fact that is a white bookshelf with the inside painted grey, it gives it a cool depth

Top shelf: my 75th edition Batman Collection box, which came with the Tumbler, The Bat, and the Bat-pod (which are sitting in front of it)
2nd Shelf: Foot Soldier Funko vinyl, Jack from Infinity, a soldier bear, Groot from Infinity, the mini Lego AT-AT, my Tardis Ornament, the mini Lego Snow Speeder, Stitch from Infinity, Captain America from Infinity, and Funko Captain America Bobble Head. In the back is a Tardis picture made from clock pieces that Mo got me for Valentines Day from the Stuttgart PX. The maker even signed it for us!
3rd Shelf: Comics, the Captain America Little Monster I made Mo, "The Third Bullet" by Stephen Hunter, and The Walking Dead Book 2 comic

Mo made the snow speeder and I made the AT-AT on Friday and we added them to the shelves. We have fun making these things together.

** Mo bought me some pretty flowers for V-Day at the PX. They are simple and lovely!

** It's nice that Mo and I finally have a 4 day weekend together to just chill out and relax! He's helping me study for my upcoming Soldier of the Month and Promotion Boards (1st one is this Wednesday) so I can hopefully pass them and finally make the rank of Sergeant. We've just been hanging out in the office and relaxing. It was a long and weird week for us both last week (I worked 3 different shifts) and I am glad that it is over.
