"I Love" Sunday's v.65

Happy Sunday dearest friends
I hope that this post finds you well! I can't believe that I missed out on last week's post, but I was at work most of Sunday and was busy for the rest of the day. It's a sad excuse, I know.

** I worked a whole lot this week, at least 6 hours most every day of this week. This sucks, but it means I get paid more. I also got a decent amount in tips this week. They also put me on hot bar this week, which means that I got to learn how to actually make the hot drinks (they are easier then the cold bar drinks and more popular). Today was one of my coworkers last day, which totally bummed some of us out.

** Saw Batman vs. Superman this week (finally) and I have mixed feelings about the movie. It was interesting I guess... and Mem and I geeked out at certain parts, but it wasn't what I expected. I kind of like how dark Batman was in the movie though. That is all.

** Amy's best friend and her daughter drove down this week to surprise Mem, which worked quite well actually. On Wednesday and Thursday I got to take pictures of her daughter G, who is ridiculously gorgeous. I don't get to do this as often as I would like, so I jumped on the chance to take her photo's. Make sure you check out my Facebook page to see more photos of this gorgeous girl!

** I got a Toothless plush this week from Build-A-Bear, for which I am most excited. I have been wanting this plush since it came out around Valentine's Day, but I didn't get one before now. I finally decided to get one.

** I participated in Day of the Life on Tuesday. I wish that I had done better with the project, but it was a busy day, so I didn't get as many pictures as I had wanted, but at least I remembered to do it. I'm working on a post to share that one with you sometime this week. I'll even show you how I documented it.

** I completed my first project as part of the Awesome Ladies Project Creative Team. I was a day late (family surprised us by coming in for Mem's Spring Break), but I had a lot of fun getting the project done! I'll share a post about my project later this week, but here is a look at what I did.

** Yesterday Lee and I were supposed to go to the beach, but the forecast called for rain, so we went to Raleigh instead. This is the first time we've both had an entire day off together. Usually one or both of us has to work. It was about an hour drive there, and the first thing we went looking for was the Art museum, which appeared to be closed. Then we headed to Crab Tree Valley Mall and we walked around. We got some lunch and looked at all the stores. I was very bummed when I realized that they had gotten rid of their Hot Topic in favor of some trendy store.... I've never seen a mall without a Hot Topic. They used to have a big one, bigger then the one where I live, so believe me, I was bummed. After that we both upgraded our phones, we both got the brand new iPhone 6SE- all the perks of the 6 but in the size of the 5, which means neither of us had to replace our Mophie charging cases. LOVE IT!

Then we left the mall to find 5112, a drum place that Lee geeked out about, and it was kind of like watching a child in a candy store, he was so excited and kind of all over the place. There was so much for him to take in. He ended up only buying a new set of drum sticks and a 5112 drum shirt.

After that we headed back to the mall to get some cheesecake from The Cheesecake Factory, and then headed back home. He'd never had their cheesecake, and was supremely impressed when he tried it later on that night. Once we picked up the cheesecake, we drove back home. We dropped the cheesecake off, stopped by the Hot Topic in our mall, and then went and tried Chedders for dinner.

I am just astounded that not once did I take a picture to document our day. I'm kind of bummed.

** Today after work I came home to get some stuff done. I cleaned up the craft room from our impromptu shoot with Baby Girl. I did some chores in the kitchen, and baked chicken for dinner. I had the house to myself, so I was feeling productive.

I also got quite a bit done in getting caught up in my scrap journal. I am almost out of room, which means that there will most definitely be a video here soon!

Lee and I went to see London Has Fallen - AWESOME MOVIE! My favorite line - "What do they make you out of?" "Bourbon and Bad Choices"

Must See 2016 [[Part 1]]

Hello dreamers!

My household goods have been delivered today, which makes me super stoked! I get to have all my stuff!!!! Which is fantastic since it started snowing a little bit last night and it's freezing. My cold weather clothes are finally here! YAY!

Today I wanted to share with you a list of movies and television shows that I want to see coming out in 2016! There are quite a few, so I have broken this list down into separate posts to be shared across several Thursdays!

Deadpool

I mean, come on! Who doesn't want to see this movie? Okay, so I can think of several people that I know personally that won't see this movie... but who in the geeky community won't see this movie? I think Ryan Reynolds is hysterical and perfect for this part. Especially to make up for how they played Deadpool in X-Men Origins (Wolverine's). That may have not been his name..... but it was basically the same premise. I love how when they are wheeling him into an operating room and he is talking about outfits you can hear him mumbling "Don't make it green.... or animated" referencing his time as Green Lantern. I can't wait to see it.... I laugh my ass off overtime I watch the trailers.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story

This is more for the teenage boy I live with's benefit more then mine. I am getting back into Star Wars thanks to him.... but I'll see this moreso because he wants to and needs someone to take him. I like that digital effects skills are tons better and the movies are just created better.

Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice

C'mon... anyone who knows me know's this.... I LOVE Batman and am super curious to see how this movie play's out. The posters have been out for what seems like forever. Batman all the way!

Norm of the North

I love all things Disney and the preview for this movie makes me chuckle. "You even smell like a real polar bear" "Thanks..." This should be cute!

Captain America: Civil War

Um, do I really need an explanation for this one? Yes, okay. I LOVE the Avengers! I know the premise of what starts Civil War, but I do like the fact that Bucky is back (spoilers for anyone who hasn't seen the trailers yet). My opinion so far (without having read the comics) of course Iron Man wants people to register. He doesn't care because he announced who he was on national television in Iron Man 2. It doesn't surprise me that Captain America doesn't believe that super heroes should be made to register. Although I don't know his reasonings yet, here are a few that make sense to me: not everyone wants the notoriety that Tony does, some of them just do it because they want to help, they are afraid to be registered (thinking of Hitler here <- I think Cap references this in one of the trailers)

TV Show: Legends of Tomorrow:

This just looks awesome! First off - it's Rory from Doctor Who!! Heck yeah!!!! I like the heroes that they are pulling in for the show, I think I saw Arrow, Black Canary, Heatwave, Captain Cold, and some other characters that show up in one or two episodes! I can't wait for this to come out on the CW. If I am not mistaken, this comes on tonight!

What movies are you looking forward to coming out this year?

"I Love" Sundays v.51

Hello dear friends!
Happy Sunday!

** It's been a lazy day for me and I finally have some motivation to knock out a blog post! It's a little overwhelming having this much time off, but I try to find something to do each day to be productive. Today is was going to get some refills for my Canon Selphy as well as a bag to carry it home in.

** Something I am really loving this week is my friend here, Amy. She's the awesome woman that is letting me stay with her and her son until I get my own place to live! When she has to work, she asks me to take her to work so I can use her car during the day, I just have to pick her up at the end of her shift at the hospital. Amy is the bomb diggity!

** A lot of things I love this week involve friends of mine. This wonderful lady and I were stationed at Bragg together starting back in 2011 until she ETS'd in 2013. Her and I became best friends during our deployment and she is still one of my all time favorite people. I met her for coffee earlier this week and it was fantastic to catch up! We're working out having a crafting day. She does Project Life and Amy and I do scrap-journaling.

** I got caught up in my December Daily album and finished the first week's video (which is up on my channel). I am super excited for my progress. I received an amazing package from a sweet lady in one of the DD groups I'm in full of scrapping goodies that I cannot wait to use!!! I have to make her something as a thank you!

** Got to have lunch with these two beautiful babes! Amy was nice enough to take the picture for us. Last minute Amy got to join us at one of our favorite Mexican restaurants. Again, these are two girls from when I was stationed here at Bragg. Kelli, the one in the middle, and I had lunch last week (I think she was wearing the same shirt actually) and Jen and I were instant friends! It's always a little confusing since we have the same first name, but she is Jen with one N and I am Jenn with two N's.

** So, Tuesday I went and purchased this Funko mystery box from GameStop. I originally had the Blackest Night Superman, but after talking to the awesome dude at the counter, he and I agreed to trade. He really wanted that Superman and I am more of a fan of Batman. He said he had a Batman and Batgirl, and I said I would accept either. So, when I got there on Friday to trade him, he gave me this box. He asked if it was enough, to which I said it was more then enough, but he insisted that I take them both. Believe me, I was secretly super stoked!!

** On Saturday, I got to see this beautiful girl! Her and I became friends after my deployment. She is my crafting and photography buddy! I got to meet her new daughter and see her younger son as well! Her son didn't like me much 2 years ago, he was 5 then, but when I saw him yesterday, he waved excitedly at me and the first thing he did when he got out of the car was give me a big hug!

**  When I say that we made a crap ton of cookies on Thursday night, that would be a severe understatement. Amy taught me how to make cookies from scratch (she needed a distraction) so we made about 6 dozen or so cookies! Enough for us both to take home for Christmas vacation! Lots of yummy cookies!

5 Fandom Friday: Your 5 Favorite TV shows

Hello friends and happy Friday!

I have been slacking alot around here lately, only managing to get posts done for Sunday. Partially because there has been a lot going on in my life and I've just been really busy. I am doing my best to get back into blogging because I loved this little space of the interwebs!

Thanks to the fact that I am going to a Geek Girl Kaiserslautern meeting tomorrow, here is today's 5 Fandom Friday post! I've even managed to schedule a couple of upcoming posts to so I stop sucking at life so much on this blog!!!!

This is kind of interesting/funny to me because a coworker and I were just talking about our favorite tv shows earlier to pass the time. It's hard to chose the shows that I will continuously binge watch though! So the topic is supposed to be 5 Most Binge Worthy Shows, but that was hard for me, partially because some of my favorite shows are new... so I bring you: 5 Favorite TV Shows!

1. Criminal Minds: This is one of my all time favorite shows! I have always been a huge fan of crime shows and I am interested in Behavioral Psychology and the Behavioral Analysis Unit! I absolutely love Peneople/David Morgan's friendhsip and I really like everyone on the team!!! I also love how suspensful the episodes are and I will willingly admit that I have been able to tell you what most of the episodes are about based on the first few minutes or sometimes even just the title! I can't really pick a favorite character from this series, because I love them all for their own reasons.

2. Gotham: I love this version of the Batman universe! Penguin is probably my favorite character because he just steals the show. I like that it's a darker version of the series. It's interesting to kind of see how they've adjusted character timelines to fit what they want to happen and I am always curious to see what else is going to happen!

3. Lost Girl: I just found this show last week and I haven't been able to stop watching it on Netflix! I got through the first season in like 2 days (only because work has gotten in the way). I like sci-fi/fantasty type shows or books and this one is quite interesting! My favorite characters are definitely Bo, Trick, and Kensi! I love how Bo is kind of figuring herself out with the help of her human best friend and her Blood King grandfather (who she just found out was her grandfather)

4. NCIS: I originally fell in love with the original series with Gibbs, Abbey, Ducky, and DiNozzo; but have also found that I really like Los Angeles and even New Orleans. I was really sceptical of spin off shows- but both of these definitely hold their own. I love the relationship between all the characters as well as the main characters always trying to save the day. It goes along with my love of Criminal Minds.
Favorite characters in the original NCIS: Gibbs and Abbey! The fact that this show is still going at 12 seasons and I don't think they are planning on stopping- AH-MAH-ZING!

5. Sleepy Hollow: This is still a newer show, but I was drawn in rather quickly. I love how they are using an old fairy tale and putting modern twists on it. I love the partnership between Icabod and Abbie and how they trust and rely on each other in their crazy endeavors!

.: Honorable Mentions :.
1. Arrow
2. Beauty and the Beast
3. Doctor Who
4. Eureka
5. Agents of S.H.I.L.D.
6. Supernatural
7. Agent Carter
8. Once Upon A Time
9. Warehouse 13
10. Torchwood

What are your 5 favorite shows or 5 Binge Worthy shows?

"I Love" Sunday's v.18

Hello friends!
Happy Sunday!

"I Love" Sunday's is a weekly series where I talk about things I am loving from the week before. I use it to document the happy things in my life right now as well as good memories. It's part of the way that I work on documenting my every day life each week.

I would love it if you decided to join me! Share a link here to your post about things you love this week (it obviously doesn't have to be a Sunday post) or tag me on Instagram, Facebook, or Twitter!

This week was thankfully short but most definitely stressful for me. I'm actually rather glad it is over!

** These came in on Tuesday, which made me happy. Stitch is for Mo, it's his favorite Disney movie! I got the Hot Topic exclusive Arkham Asylum Batman for myself! Now I have two Batman's. I've ordered a Harley Quinn on Amazon, just waiting for them ll to arrive.

** On Wednesday, I participated in my first board for the military. This one was for to compete for Soldier of the Month (sadly, I didn't win), but it was good practice. I have a promotion board on 04 March.

** Friday we had a BBQ at work and I learned how to make Jalapeño Poppers for the first time because one of my coworkers hadn't had time to finish them at home before bringing them in. It was messy, but amusing. And lunch went well. We had the wives, a girlfriend, and a son come hang out, so that is always fun. We also got two A-10 fast movers to do a fly by of our tower, followed by an L-39 (another fast moving airplane). Next week we'll have 10-12 F-16's in our airspace and we're going to try to get them to do the same thing at 300 ft!

**Saturday was a surprise birthday for a friend's daughter. She thought she wasn't having a party and then everyone showed up! It was nice seeing some friend's again, I haven't been feeling very sociable lately thanks to work.

.: Fav Links :.
** Follow Your Arrow by Kasey Musgraves- I found this song on Spotify and fell in love with it! LISTEN TO IT. lol

** Jasmine's post about Superhero-fying her Hawaii vacation

** RUKristin's post about Sending Love Letters & Minted Stationary if you follow my instagram then you know that I love snail mail and sending happy mail to friends myself. I've been in search of cute stationary to purchase instead of my plain white paper. I must check out what she has shared in this post.

** Mandy from Record Life has decided to start a weekly photo/story prompt to document the every day life. This week's prompt is Morning Routine. You should check out her blog to learn more about this prompt and participate in it as well! Tomorrow there will be a blog post on her blog featuring me and another blogger talking about documenting the everyday life!

"I Love" Sunday's v.17

Welcome friends and happy Sunday to you all!

How do you like my new graphic? I made it using PicMonkey because I wanted something for these posts like I have for 5 Fandom Friday's. I may make some for my other common recipes although I will try to make them prettier and more unique.

** Yesterday was Valentines Day and I got to spend it hanging out with Mo, which is my favorite place to be! We met some of our friends at our favorite Irish pub called The Auld Rogue for dinner since they happened to be in our area (our friends are from the same base that I am and they just happened to be in our neighborhood. It was nice). Mo also signed up for his second Whiskey tasting which will be next month. I go as his DD and I get food for 10 Euro.

** Got a new Wacom Intuos Creative Pen Tablet from the Apple store yesterday in the local German mall. I can't wait to use it to start creating some of my own PL cards for our albums and my snail mail friends! ALSO! The people there were super nice and super helpful. Sometimes Germans don't like American's because there are a lot of self-centered, arrogant American soldiers here and they think we're all the same when we're not... but these people were very professional and had no issue with the fact that Mo and I knew very little German. He bought a new Yetti microphone to hook up to his computer for music and for potentially creating a new podcast (my broadcasting boyfriend just doing what he loves). So we're pretty stoked with our purchases for the day!

** Mo and I set up our new bookshelf from Ikea in the office on Friday and covered it with our geeky things... which was the sole purpose behind the bookshelf in the first place! I love the fact that is a white bookshelf with the inside painted grey, it gives it a cool depth

Top shelf: my 75th edition Batman Collection box, which came with the Tumbler, The Bat, and the Bat-pod (which are sitting in front of it)
2nd Shelf: Foot Soldier Funko vinyl, Jack from Infinity, a soldier bear, Groot from Infinity, the mini Lego AT-AT, my Tardis Ornament, the mini Lego Snow Speeder, Stitch from Infinity, Captain America from Infinity, and Funko Captain America Bobble Head. In the back is a Tardis picture made from clock pieces that Mo got me for Valentines Day from the Stuttgart PX. The maker even signed it for us!
3rd Shelf: Comics, the Captain America Little Monster I made Mo, "The Third Bullet" by Stephen Hunter, and The Walking Dead Book 2 comic

Mo made the snow speeder and I made the AT-AT on Friday and we added them to the shelves. We have fun making these things together.

** Mo bought me some pretty flowers for V-Day at the PX. They are simple and lovely!

** It's nice that Mo and I finally have a 4 day weekend together to just chill out and relax! He's helping me study for my upcoming Soldier of the Month and Promotion Boards (1st one is this Wednesday) so I can hopefully pass them and finally make the rank of Sergeant. We've just been hanging out in the office and relaxing. It was a long and weird week for us both last week (I worked 3 different shifts) and I am glad that it is over.

.: Fav Links :.
+ All About Ami- I found this blog when I was in Afghanistan and spending all my free time crocheting. I am super stoked that I just found her again because she has TONS of free patterns on her blog for cute aim's!
+ Gold Embossed Mixed Tape Message Cards by I Spy DIY I want to make some of these as a late V-Day card to send to my snail mail friends
+ Essentials Every Blogger Should Have by Wonder Forest I always have a notebook near me for ideas for my blog. I also have a camera or my phone for picture taking
Don't Be Selfie-ish by RUKristin This is a really cool way to document a trip, especially if you take a lot of selfies with friends, your significant other, or yourself. I really want to try this
+ Batman Garland by Our Nerd Home As you all have probably figured out, I am obsessed with Batman and I want to make this garland to hang in the office around Mo's Captain America Shield that he bought for his Halloween costume

5 Fandom Friday: Favorite Funko Pop Figures

Happy Friday friends!
Wow, is it really already Friday? YAY! Haha.
I only worked two days this week thanks to some 4 day weekends since we've missed time off.

Welcome to another installment of 5 Fandom Friday (brought to you by The Nerdy Girlie and Super Space Chick

I absolutely love this topic! Funko Pop Figures have become a favorite geeky accessory of mine!

1. Batman is my only current Funko Pop figure. No need to express why this is one of my favorites.

The rest of my list are ones that I want to purchase

2.  Jack Skellington-
My favorite movie! I love Jack (I even have Jack and Sally tattooed on my left leg!) Really I just want to collect all the Nightmare Before Christmas figures! They even have Zero!!!

3. Smaug- The Hobbit
I think it's awesome that he is voiced by Benedict Cumberbatch. I also really want this one because I found a fan art picture of a baby Smaug talking about his daily affirmations and it is absolutely cute. This figure is super cute too!

4. Dancing Baby Groot- The Guardians of the Galaxy
All I picture when I see this is the end of the movie when he's dancing in his little pot and stops moving when Drax looks at him. So adorable! I am even looking into a crochet pattern to make this as an amigurumi!

5. Toothless- How to Train Your Dragon
OH EM GEEEEE! Toothless is so adorable and this figure is no different! I want to have him now! Hahaha! Favorite part of that movie!

What are some of your favorite Funko Pop Vinyl figures?

"I Love" Sunday's v.12

Happy Monday dear friends. This post is obviously a day late but that was because I spent yesterday traveling back to Germany (insert sad face here.... I don't want to go back). Vacation was a blast and was definitely needed.... I just don't want to go back to real life. I go back to work on Wednesday and roll right into a busy rotation. Welcome to little free time and utter exhaustion. Anywho...

Did you know that this blog has a Facebook page you can follow? I share my blog posts as well as other awesome things I find on the internet there. Make sure to like the page for updates! Make sure you check out all of my social media links to keep up to date with my shenanigans! ((Find them on the Meet Jenn page. I am working on putting the links in a sidebar))

** Mo took me to this awesome comic book store in his old neighborhood. It's a small store and has been run by the same man for over 20 years! He even remembers Mo and they struck up a long conversation, which was cool. I found a couple of comics (I have to start with the first of a series or else it bugs me!) and am super stoked! Mo and I are building our comic collection, so it's a great start.

Not to mention that he had a keychain version of my Funko Pop! Adam West era Batman... which I was told I had to get! The best part is that Richard (the owner) has this thing called a Pull Box where he'll put aside comics for you (either ones that come in or ones he special orders for you) and when he has enough to fill a flat rate box, he'll ship them too you. Even to an APO (which is super awesome because some people/places seem to think it's a hassle to ship to an APO when it's really just shipping to a NY address.... cuz that's what it's classified as).

the only difference is the keychain has a batarang

** Went to H&M for the first time. Was a little pricy on some things but I found a new beanie that actually will cover my head when my hair is up AND a new scarf (that wasn't an infinity scarf because that is all I can find in Germany). It's the little things in life I swear!

** Realized that I now own a Batman shirt for at least every day of the week if not more. XD Kinda makes me giggle a little bit. Mo is the same way but with Captain America shirts, so I don't feel bad!

I even have a Batman shaped Harley Quinn shirt to add to my collection

** The only good thing about being home now is Mo and I get two days to ourselves to relax and recoup. Neither of us wants to go to work yet and we're just being super lazy today. Tomorrow we gotta clean out our third room and make it into a craft room/ office dealio so we have a place to work instead of sitting on the living room floor all the time.

** I am loving being a part of the Female Geek Bloggers group and meeting the lovely ladies there! They are quite inspiring and it's awesome to meet other geeky girls like me. It's a little abnormal to meet geeks in general in the military because it's mostly jocks who just want to shoot stuff... at least at the places I have been.

** Made another trip to Michaels and Target before we left and got some awesome stuff to add to my craft collection. Got some new Heidi Swapp mini books and tags from Michaels and a new SN@P! burlap 6X8 album (that Mo picked out). I went looking through the $1 bins at Target (best thing ever) and got some new bakers twine, tags, and a organizer I plan on using for my wood veneers (yay organizing). I also ordered some stuff from Project Life and I can't wait to get back to my place and unwrap it all (the only reason I wanna go back to my place). It'll be like a second Christmas!
