Getting Caught Up: December Daily 2015

Happy Thursday Dearest Dreamers!
I hope this finds you well!

Now that October is finished and I have finished filming my October Daily flip though videos, it's time to move onto my next project. It was definitely an experience working on my October Daily, a good experience though. I think that it helped that Lee was so interested in what I was doing. Either way, working on this project definitely helped renew my love of pocket scrapbooking.

This is the cover of my 2015 album.
I chose a standard TN and covered it with scrapbook paper and wash tape.

For a long time ever since the end of 2014, I have been more focused on memory keeping in travelers notebooks because they offer more space for journaling then pocket scrapbooking does. I've always been more of a writer then anything else, which I think is why I struggled so much with pocket scrapbooking in the beginning. But we'll get to how I'm overcoming that one in a minute.

This happens to be my favorite page, and probably something that I will repeat this year if possible!

Last year I decided to attempt December Daily in a travelers notebook, like I did with my October Daily two months before. Since I was leaving Germany right before December started, I made sure to pack up stuff that I would need in my suitcase before I left because my boxes weren't coming until January. There was a nice lady from the December Daily group on Facebook who sent me some stuff from last year's December Daily kit. I was incredibly motivated to start the project, but didn't really have a lot of room to work on it. There was a lot of traveling from North Carolina to Florida and Georgia during the month of December which also didn't help all that much towards working on my album. I got all the way to the 14th of December before I fell off the DD wagon. I have my pictures all printed and my list of activities written in my planner, but nothing is happening in my album.

I decided to take Ali's Storytelling With December Daily class again this year and it really got me thinking. It really makes me want to go back and work on my album from last year, in hopes that I can get it done before February of next year. I'm not quite sure why I just stopped working on my album, other then I guess life just got in the way and then we moved into the house we live in currently. It's not like I don't have anything to work with, I printed the pictures and wrote all the notes in my planner, it's just sitting down to actually work on it. I actually started working on it Friday night while Lee was practicing on his drums because I had lost interest in the internet.

Pro's of a TN:
* Not nearly as big so it's easier to carry, which then limits your supplies
* it limits you on how bulky you make your embellishments,
* focus on journaling,
* you can use any size picture you want because you aren't worrying about the size of your pockets as long as it fits in your TN (and you can use vertical 4X6's, which is harder to do in a 6X8 mini album)

Con's:
* You're limited on your embellishments in some ways,
* It limits the products that you use in some ways
* Potential bleed through of your pens or ink
* You have to worry about writing on the backs of your pages
* If you fall behind it takes forever to get caught up
* You have to work on your pages in order, you can't skip days and go back to them.

Something that I learned from her class this year is the beauty of mixing long and short stories in my album (which I already knew), but being able to print my stories on my pictures and print them from home. Also being able to use the digital stamps as well as trying new things with my Silhouette cutting machine. It will be easier to add things into my album that make it bulky because I don't have to worry about writing on the back of the page for my stories like I did in my TN (a big issue of mine, especially when the album gets bigger and bigger).

Like I said, I am hoping to work and and maybe even finish this album soon. It's already time to start prepping my 2016 album, which I will be doing in a pocket style like Ali and so many others do. I will record a final flip through video of last years for those of you that are interested.

Here's to hoping that I can finish two albums before February of next year!

Life Lately

Hey Dreamers!
I hope all is well with you all.

I know that I have been absent from here for a couple of weeks - maybe a little less time then I think it's been.... things have been crazy around here. Well... maybe not as much as I think it is... but you know how your mind occasionally warps things to make them feel worse then they really are.

I finally had my first appointment with the VA at the end of March. Me, being who I am, made a list ahead of time of things that I wanted to talk about with the doctor. I also made a list of all my medications, because being a spoonie, there are quite a few and I am liable to forget something if I don't write it down. My nurse and doctor were really impressed. It really pays to be organized. The first appointment went alright, lots of talking and introductions. My doctor is pretty cool, she's an interesting woman. Very quickly she determined that I needed to schedule appointments with the behavioral health counselor, get screened for a TBI (4 years too late), a new optometry appointment, a radiology scan, an x-ray or MRI of my abdomen, some more blood tests.... there were just quite a few things that needed to be done.

This is my daily page inside my bullet journal covering everything that I needed to discuss

Since then I have picked up refills of ALL of my prescriptions (thank god) and had my initial intake with a behavioral health counselor. That word has such a negative connotation.... behavioral health.... especially within the military community. I know that I need to talk to someone.... my anxiety already determined that back in 2014.... and at the beginning of the month I was also diagnosed with depression. I'm supposed to start a group therapy session weekly in May. I don't know how I feel about this new diagnosis.... it makes sense I guess.... but another thing wrong with me? So there is that...... I'm now awaiting yet another medication that I am supposed to take to arrive in the mail, the lady had to talk to my doctor to make sure whatever medication she prescribed to me wouldn't interfere with anything I take for my fibromyalgia.

I have also submitted my paperwork for my handicap placard, now I am just waiting for that to be approved. Speaking of that... my car is finally registered here in the state of NC. It was still under my German registration because there was some stuff that I needed to get done to my car before getting registered. However, things changed when I was pulled over by a police officer on my way to work because he didn't recognize my NATO license plate. Thankfully, I didn't get a ticket.... but it was still a pain in my rear end.

Yesterday I applied for my NC state drivers license. I figured that it was about time, since I plan on living here for quite a while, and I'm considering changing jobs and working for the county I live in and it's mandatory to have a NC state license.

I got to meet Lee's bandmates last weekend, which was a total blast. They are nerds like me in their own way, and just super friendly people. I look forward to getting to know them more. They live about an hour away from us, so after I got out of work on Saturday, we drove there with the intent for them to practice, and then we were going to grill steaks and just hang out. They got to practice for a while before Lee got word that he had 24 hour duty on Sunday, so we had to return earlier then anticipated. So on Sunday, I hung out with him while he was on duty, and then picked him up from work on Monday morning and drove him home. Our plans for this coming weekend got screwed up because last minute he had to go out to the field until Sunday, which just kind of added to my feelings of these past two weeks. Gotta love the dumb stuff in the Army. I've come to accept that it happens, sometimes even expect it (like what happened to this weekend), but it doesn't mean that I have to like it. 5.5 years in the Army taught me that.

shenanigans with his bandmates hat's

Today, I was supposed to enroll in classes that start in early June. I found out that my college accepted all 24 of my transfer credits from my time in the Army, which is a relief. I am scheduled to graduate 19 December 2019 with a Bachelors in Business Administration with a focus in marketing. I can't wait to start school again, the best part is that I get to take classes on base since I am a retiree. This means smaller class sizes, which will help with my anxiety, and it's also in an area that I am familiar with, and amongst other service members. I don't know if I could handle a regular college class size or the way that people look at me. I have to contact my new advisor tomorrow to get some alternate pin number needed to finally register for classes.

I also adjusted my availability hours for work. I went from open availability (minus Monday mornings to take Mem to school) to a more structured availability. Amy is picking up more hours at work, which means I need to make sure I am home more so Mem isn't by himself more often then not. For instance, Amy took a Crisis shift at the hospital tonight (which means she gets like twice the pay because they are understaffed and it's last minute) so it's a good thing I am home to hang out with Mem. He's self sufficient enough if we have to leave him by himself, but we decided to limit how much time that is if at all possible.

That and honestly, work is stressing me out and burning me out. ATC was stressful, with a high burnout rate, but this is stressful in it's own way. My anxiety isn't really cut out for a high paced customer service type job while spending most of the day on my feet combating my fibromyalgia. It's definitely taking it's toll on me. Don't get me wrong, I really like my job.... but it's burning me out. I've made some awesome friends in certain coworkers, and they're probably the only reason I haven't quit. I've gotten in my groove, so most of my day is kind of spent in a mindless routine that I don't have to think much about. That, and I was really hoping for some kind of administration job when I got out, which I obviously didn't get and I'm not complaining because at least I have a job. I just need something that pays a little bit better and doesn't wear me out as much on a daily basis.

I've been working on my bullet journals. Yes, that's plural... because I've separated my every day bullet journal, my medical journal, and my blog journal. My every day carry is still housed within my MyDorian TN - it houses my monthly/weekly/daily insert, my scrap journal, a newly added Spring Semester insert for school stuff, and my 2016 yearly book. The other two are in separate, bigger Moleskine notebooks. There will be a walkthrough video and coordinating blog posts coming within the future month for those that are interested.

I think that is enough rambles for now....
don't want to bore you guys with too much of my life.

What have you all been up too lately?

Review: Custom MyDorian from AltGuild

As most of you know, I am obsessed with Travelers Notebooks ((thanks MOM)), they've become a big feature here on my blog. Well, I am part of several Facebook groups and I'm always looking for good leather covers. I stumbled upon Chris from AltGuild and decided to give his leather covers a try ((c'mob, don't judge..... check out his page and you will see all of the custom geeky orders that he makes and it makes you want to get one yourself!)) Nerd alert ahead!

I sent Chris a message over Etsy and he worked with me to create my newest obsession (and addition) to my TN collection: my custom Gryffindor themed Wide TN cover.

My photo doesn't do this beautiful book justice
For real... I absolutely love this cover. It is hand stamped and hand painted, with two strings to keep it closed, and four strings on the inside to hold inserts. I personally use Large Caheir Moleskine notebooks, which fit perfectly in a Wide cover. I don't have to cut anything down (which is awesome because that is a serious pain in the butt).

This image belongs to AltGuild
but this is my beautiful cover that Chris made for me
Chris was super easy to work with and communicated consistently and quickly. We originally discussed this product while I was in Germany. He completed my order very quickly and it was ready to go shortly before I left Germany. I asked him to change the address it was going to be sent to (my leave date kept changing) and it arrived shortly after I arrived back in the States. Like a week later.

The leather is nice and supple, it's thick. The stamping is beautifully done and the color work is gorgeous. You can create your own cover through his Etsy shop and it was incredibly easy. I told him that I wanted two strings to keep it closed instead of one, and four bands on the inside to hold insures. I love the fact that he used grommets in the holes the strings come through, it helps keep the integrity of the holes.

Oh! There is a design on both sides of my cover! Here is another picture from Chris' Facebook page of the whole cover!

This image belongs to Chris from AltGuild
When I messaged Chris originally, I couldn't decide whether I wanted a Gryffindor cover or a Slytherin cover (I love both houses). This is the design he came up with for Gryffindor and I absolutely loved it, so I went with it. In each of the corners he hand stamped a gorgeous little rose design that compliments the overall design wonderfully.

I have used this notebook every day since I got it in late November/early December. I take it with me everywhere I go and am not really careful with it. I've showed it to several people (one girl at Starbucks asked about it cuz I had it out and I passed on Chris' information to her) and everyone loves it.

It was reasonably priced for the work that Chris did and how quickly it was completed. It is definitely worth it! If you're interested in a custom TN cover, make sure you check out his Etsy shop above. I recommend that you order one yourself!

Thanks Chris!

"I Love" Sunday's v.55

Hello dearest friends!
Happy Sunday

It's been a super busy week (as mentioned on Friday)

** I got my 2016 Travelers Notebook all set up and am loving it. I'll do a walkthrough of the set-up sometime this week for anyone who is interested, but just to let you guys know.... I have my January plan book surrounded by a Midori pocket, my December Daily 2015 (I am trying to get it all finished. Almost done!!!), The business card folder, my blog book, and my 2016 yearly planner. I am still using the custom designed Harry Potter MyDorian made by AltGuild on Etsy. The review for this product will be up later this week!

** I picked up the key to my new apartment on Thursday. I finally have my own place. Right now, the only thing in there is my new tv stand (which I think is made from real wood instead of the fake stuff and is heavier then I expected when I went to pick it up). This weekend I have been moving some of my stuff from my roommate's place to my new one (It's just a couple buildings over from where I've been staying). I can't really move in yet because my stuff is either on it's way from Germany or still in storage in Florida. I still have to get my utilities all set up, but at least there is a place

** My truck has arrived from Germany! I picked it up on Friday from Charleston, SC and I am beyond excited!!!! I have my car back! I asked my roommate if it would be odd if I hugged my car, she laughed at me!

I sent this picture to my friend when we were talking about how excited I was to have my car back

** I hung out with a new friend Friday night. She is a cashier at Staples and we met when I went to go pick up a new White Signo gel pen for my memory keeping stuff. We bonded over my new Harry Potter necklace (it says "Books turn mugs into wizards) and my Star Wars long sleeve shirt (It's black with Darth Vader on the front, Star Wars written on the side of the two sleeves, and The Dark Side written on the back like a jersey). We went to 2nd and Charles and looked through all of their "nerd stuff" before walking around the mall.

I sent this picture to my roommate's son Mem from 2nd and Charles.
He loves the tv show Friends and we've been binge watching the show on Netflix
** I went and applied at a bunch of place. I've been calling or walking in and asking the status of my application. The lady at Starbucks asked me some questions and gave me her card, saying if I haven't heard from her by tomorrow, to give her a call. 2nd and Charles also took my information to pass to the manager (they're owned by Books-A-Million and the cashier said that it takes forever for them to get applications), and told me that me coming in and asking was a good thing and that's how she got her job. It gives me hope that I might get a job here soon.

** I sent in an application to Kellie Winnell for her 2016 Creative Team Call. This is my first time applying, although I've been considering it for a little while. I'm hoping to get a position, but it wouldn't surprise me if I didn't. Only because there are some AMAZING and talented ladies in the scrapbooking world and I am just a beginner. Gotta start somewhere though!

** So last night I went to my favorite country bar to apply (they said they were hiring). However, the manager on the phone told me the wrong time to show up and I have to come back Wednesday night (kinda annoyed about that... but whatever). The good news is.... I made friends with 3 new couples! Two of the couples were standing outside when we were waiting for the bar to open (Cat and Mike and Michi and Chris). We started chatting (Michi loved me simply because I told her that I was originally from Texas and lived in Florida) and became friends over several rounds of pool. The last couple I befriended (Jess & Aaron) decided to play couple vs couple with one of the first couples, so we ended up talking. Jess was a BLAST! She was more then willing to teach me some of the line dances that I didn't know and we've agreed to meet up there more often so I can learn more of the dances. Overall, it turned into a great night and I am really glad I stayed despite being there by myself!

** This may be proving me as a total nerd, but I am really happy to have access to cable again. For one single reason... HGTV! I spend way too much time watching HGTV shows while multitasking. My favorite shows from HGTV are Fixer Upper, Property Brothers, and Design on A Dime. ((Bonus: all three shows are also on Netflix!))

"I Love" Sundays v.51

Hello dear friends!
Happy Sunday!

** It's been a lazy day for me and I finally have some motivation to knock out a blog post! It's a little overwhelming having this much time off, but I try to find something to do each day to be productive. Today is was going to get some refills for my Canon Selphy as well as a bag to carry it home in.

** Something I am really loving this week is my friend here, Amy. She's the awesome woman that is letting me stay with her and her son until I get my own place to live! When she has to work, she asks me to take her to work so I can use her car during the day, I just have to pick her up at the end of her shift at the hospital. Amy is the bomb diggity!

** A lot of things I love this week involve friends of mine. This wonderful lady and I were stationed at Bragg together starting back in 2011 until she ETS'd in 2013. Her and I became best friends during our deployment and she is still one of my all time favorite people. I met her for coffee earlier this week and it was fantastic to catch up! We're working out having a crafting day. She does Project Life and Amy and I do scrap-journaling.

** I got caught up in my December Daily album and finished the first week's video (which is up on my channel). I am super excited for my progress. I received an amazing package from a sweet lady in one of the DD groups I'm in full of scrapping goodies that I cannot wait to use!!! I have to make her something as a thank you!

** Got to have lunch with these two beautiful babes! Amy was nice enough to take the picture for us. Last minute Amy got to join us at one of our favorite Mexican restaurants. Again, these are two girls from when I was stationed here at Bragg. Kelli, the one in the middle, and I had lunch last week (I think she was wearing the same shirt actually) and Jen and I were instant friends! It's always a little confusing since we have the same first name, but she is Jen with one N and I am Jenn with two N's.

** So, Tuesday I went and purchased this Funko mystery box from GameStop. I originally had the Blackest Night Superman, but after talking to the awesome dude at the counter, he and I agreed to trade. He really wanted that Superman and I am more of a fan of Batman. He said he had a Batman and Batgirl, and I said I would accept either. So, when I got there on Friday to trade him, he gave me this box. He asked if it was enough, to which I said it was more then enough, but he insisted that I take them both. Believe me, I was secretly super stoked!!

** On Saturday, I got to see this beautiful girl! Her and I became friends after my deployment. She is my crafting and photography buddy! I got to meet her new daughter and see her younger son as well! Her son didn't like me much 2 years ago, he was 5 then, but when I saw him yesterday, he waved excitedly at me and the first thing he did when he got out of the car was give me a big hug!

**  When I say that we made a crap ton of cookies on Thursday night, that would be a severe understatement. Amy taught me how to make cookies from scratch (she needed a distraction) so we made about 6 dozen or so cookies! Enough for us both to take home for Christmas vacation! Lots of yummy cookies!

December Daily 2015: Days 3-6

Hello dear friends!

As you can tell, I am a little behind on sharing posts about my December Daily project, but honestly, is anyone really surprised (I know I'm not). On Saturday and Sunday I was in Georgia and didn't bring any of my supplies with me, so I had to get everything finished yesterday so I could share this post with you today.

I may be sharing some of the days in groups like I am today, but at least they will be shared. Also, later this week there will be an actual video walk through of the first week of my album on my YouTube channel for you guys to check out.

Without further ado:

Day 3:

Day 3 starts about halfway through the page where the tree is. Amy and I decorated the tree and set up some other decorations around our apartment to try to get Amy in the holiday spirit.

The "the tree" sticker came from Me & My Big Ideas Mambi sticker pack of clear stickers that I found at Michaels. I really like the sticker set and was super excited to use them!

The Santa and Mrs. Claus are a set of decorations Amy got from her grandmother. The "dear santa" came from the digital stamp set Ali included in her Storytelling With December Daily class. I just thought it was perfect! I also am making it a point to use the December stamp from the hard copy stamp set from the same class each day! Trying for consistency here!

I really love this tree picture!

The second page of Day 3 is all about some of the ornaments on the tree (I included my Batman and a snowflake that Mem made when he was younger at the top) and the bottom is a picture of my fabric scrap tree I made back in 2013 and a picture of Mem's new Chewbacca ornament next to my American Hero ornament.

This was also the day that I introduced Amy to the wonders of Butterbeer Frappacino's! She loved it!

Day 4:

On Day 4 I included part of an ad from Bath and Body Works from the day before. On the back I attached some purple snowflake scrapbook paper from the Arctic Wishes Matstack 4.5x6.5 paper pad and then added pictures of the M and A ornaments on the tree for Mem and Amy.

The second page of Day 4 shares a picture of our stockings we hung out, the garland over them wrapped in silver ribbon, and the darn "Merry Christmas" banner that we finally had to hang with command hooks. It kept falling down until we tied it up this way. Hasn't fallen a single time!

Day 5:

Day 5 brought me to Georgia to see an old friend of mine. In the pages I talk about why I was there, and then I included a picture of him and I that one of his coworkers took when we went to dinner.

The bottom of the page has me talking about my attempt at a bokeh tree, which I think turned out quite awesome!

Day 6:

I didn't photograph the first page of the spread because it's all writing (I haven't edited/printed the photo yet, so there is no reason to include that here) I talked about the end of my trip and then I took someone else's idea and talked about my ornaments on our tree. ((It's mostly covered in Amy's ornaments, but there are a couple that came from me)). I backed the ornament pictures with pieces of scrapbook paper from the Jolly 6x6 paper pad from American Crafts

Amy bought me that blue and silver star for our shared love of our favorite football team. Then there is Batman (again)! The bottom picture is just a picture someone shared in one of the groups that I saved and printed because I really liked the picture! It says Make a Christmas Wish!

The last page of this spread talks about 3 more ornaments. The top one is a set of two hearts, one painted like the American flag and the other painted like the German flag. This one represents my time in Germany. Below that is a Starbucks ornament I got with a guy riding on an ornament that makes me think of "I came in like a wrecking ball"! It makes me laugh! The last ornament pictures is my American Hero ornament with an eagle and the American flag. This one represents my 5.5 years in the Army.

At the bottom of the page I talk about doing my own book to document the story of my ornaments and how I will continue to include new ones here in this project.

------------------------------------------------

Thanks for stopping by! Stay tuned here on the blog every couple of days where I share more about the spreads I am doing in my December Daily album. Also,  I will be sharing a video walkthrough of days 1-6 on my YouTube channel later today. Every week I want to do a walkthrough video to show you guys how it looks and talk about some of the products that are used in each spread.

Are you participating in December Daily? Share a link with me (on whatever platform you're sharing) so I can check you out!!!

December Daily 2015: Day 2

Hello dearest friends!
Happy hump day!

Here is a look at day 2 of my DD so far!

Here is a look at the entire spread (minus just some plain journaling on the back side of the second page. That is just journaling, so you aren't missing anything important.

I just picked up the number 2 today at Hobby Lobby. It's part of the 25 Days Thicker set. I placed that on top of a snowflake cutout that I made with a tag punch. The December is a stamp from Ali Edwards Storytelling With December Daily class. The circles say shopping, and Amy picked them up from Hobby Lobby today.

Random side note: I managed to unintentionally convert her to try doing a December Daily scrap-journal like I did. I showed her my October Daily yesterday morning and she loved it. When she and Memphis came home last night, I showed her what I did yesterday. So we were out and about today and she asked me if I wanted to go to Hobby Lobby. She went through and found stickers on clearance and then told me "You need to keep me accountable on this project" I just laughed!

I got my new house key to her place today, which is pictured above. She chose it for me while I was on the phone with USAA. The arrow washi was picked up from Hobby Lobby today and I love it! The back of the picture is just grid paper from the scraps of another journaling card. The polar bear and penguin are from the packaging of my candle purchase form Bath and Body Works. It was too cute, so I decided to include it in my journal for today.

This is the picture at the top of the second page. Amy and I went and got our nails done today (it's been forever for us both. We both went with red (although hers is gel medium nails and mine is just polish). We both asked for a candy cane striping on our ring fingers, mine looks like a regular candy cane and hers is red and silver (which I really like). The only thing is that we don't really like the salon we went too (her bf suggested it to us from his daughter). They weren't very personable and its not the best paint job quality.

The last thing included is the story about seeing yet another of my dear friends from when I was stationed here before Germany. Although he is taller then me, this dude was like my little brother. We ended up meeting from lunch and before he scurried off to work I asked Amy to take a picture of us. On top of that is just a clear sticker that says 'hello friend' from the Paper Studios Friendship Phrases sticker pack that Amy bought today.

Overall I love the way that Day 2 worked out today. I also enjoyed that Amy was creating her own DD sitting next to me. She is excited for this project as well! I converted someone else!!!!

Are you doing DD?
Can I see yours?

December Daily 2015: Day 1

Hey everyone! Happy December 1st! I hope that today finds you well!!!

Today I wanted to share with you the first story in my insert (baring anything extraordinary happening tonight when everyone gets home)

For the title, I cut up a piece of blue, white, and red stripped washi tape into an arrow shape and used a silver 1 sticker from my collection. The word December is part of Ali Edwards' Storytelling With December Daily stamp kit that I just stamped on with my new black Stazon Ink.

The Keep Calm meme is one that I found in one of the December Daily groups I am part of on Facebook and I couldn't help but print it and use it in today's spread.

Since this is a scrap-journal, most of what I do is journaling.
I started today off a little backwards, but that's ok. I get to be creative with my projects. Haha

The first thing I talk about is lunch with my dear friend Kelli. I haven't seen her since shortly before I moved to Germany, and other then Amy and Memphis, she is the first person I have seen since I got back! I am super excited that I got to have lunch with her. The first page is me just talking about lunch and a summary of what we talked about.

Here is a better look at the picture that we took before we left. She is taller then me so she is kind of crouching to be my height, which just makes me laugh. The "Be Merry" tab is from the 2014 December Daily kit. I had originally wrote directly on the picture at the top but it smudged, so I covered it with some silver washi tape, then a kraft tag with cold lining, I wrote my best friend on it, then added a red polka dotted heart on top of that.

The back of the picture is just a black piece of scrapbook card stock covered in gold polka dots that I got in the RUKristin Find Your Voice kit earlier this year. I used some black and gold polka dotted washi tape to make it a tip in, then used some white thicker to write "the best" on it.

The second page is all about this morning and how Amy and I sat there after we dropped Memphis off at school and just talked. We talked about everything that happened since I left almost 2 years ago. It was awesome for us to get caught up because we both spent most of our time alone and haven't really had someone to just sit there and talk with. I mean I had friends (and so does she) but I didn't really want to bother them because they were always at work while I wasn't. Any who, it was awesome for us to just sit there and talk. I am glad that I am staying with them. I'm actually looking for a place to live in this apartment complex as it is. I'll know more about that later on this week.

Thanks for stopping by and checking out day one in my December Daily project. I will do my best to photograph and share as often as I can. Every week (just like my October Daily) I will try to share a flip through video, where I will talk a little more about what happened each day.

Let me know if you have any questions, comments, or concerns.
Thanks for stopping by!
See ya tomorrow!

December Daily 2015: Intro and thoughts

Hello dearest friends!
I hope this post finds you well!

Tomorrow starts the last month of the year, and yet another project for me (and most of the scrapbooking community!) Tomorrow starts December Daily 2015! You can check out Ali Edwards introduction to the project here and the rest of her posts about it all here.

This year I am doing the project just like I did my October Daily, in an insert for my TN and paired with my December Plan Book. I decided that this was going to be the way I did it, instead of a regular DD album, partially because I really enjoyed how my October Daily turned out, and partially because I will be back in the States but I won't have all of my stuff yet back from the movers. Carrying around a 6X8 album and supplies would be difficult and take up too much room in my luggage. I packed the minimal amount of supplies in my luggage for the project. I know I can always buy more stuff once I get home, and I will probably buy some more things once I get to see a real craft store, but I really liked how my October Daily turned out and wanted to give it another try!

This project starts tomorrow!

Here are some pictures from my album

This is the cover of my insert. It is a regular Moleskine lined insert that I covered with some snowflake scrapbooking paper, silver washi to cover the spine, and then some silver star washi to cover the side that opens on the book.

This is what you see when you first open up the insert. I have taped a calendar on the inside cover that I bought online. I have been trying to figure out where the calendar came from, but I can't find it in my email history. I will keep looking and when I know, I shall share it with you guys.

This is my own version of the washi tape tree. The star and December pieces as well as the Magic stamp are all from last years Ali Edwards December Daily Kit.

The next page is My Reason Why followed by the front of a Christmas card that I was using as a divider type thing. I need to add some more decorations to My Reason Why page, but I at least wanted to get my reason for this project written out and finished.

Will you be participating in the project? If so, let me know! I would love to see pictures or videos of your project as you complete it!
